I know there were some shitty lines on the album...

I know there were some shitty lines on the album, but as someone who just went through a break-up I think this album killed it.

I think this guy is a fucking clown and I can't take his art seriously. I'm sorry.

he looks like mc ride

this. kanye/beyonce tier garbage.

same here. feel no ways was my situation exactly and makes me feel a lot better about my decision.

tell me about her, user.

Epic bait familia

Drake does fine in the beginning, future is garbage. Absolute trash.

Explain on how Views is "Kanye tier."

could never sit through a whole future album but he actually has a good verse on that track (actual rapping). repeating the lines too many times is supposed to have a "hype" effect, I guess. it's just funny to me and I can enjoy it at that level.

fuck off this is not music fuck off to twitter or reddit kill yourself

pure shit he's just whining about how he didn't get a text back for the whole album, I can't believe each song took so many fucking writers

not bait. All easy listening, 4/4, dance product made for a target demographic by their label's producers... why even pretend to be interested in music if you listen to this kind of shit on purpose?

dude what, kanye is way better than drake.

that sounds exactly like the irl people who pretend foo fighters are better than nickelback to me... they are slightly different flavors of the same bland shit.

He's big

kanye is actually way crazier and way different each album. drake is the same bland shit everytime, and hes boring as fuck, while kanye is literally going more crazy over the years.

MC Ride looks like the Where Are They Now episode of Drake

so you like him for the spectacle of his personal drama? that's not even music related... his music is just as basic and boring as drake/beyonce...

Redemption is such a fucking sexy jam, lad.

>way crazier and way different each album
>not even music related

k well youre obviously retarded and your opinion is invalid.

I wish poptimist casuals would stop pretending to be interested in music.

He creeps on and strikes out with porn stars. He's pretty much such a huge loser that even success and money and adoration can't make him less of a loser.

test

It was built to appeal to mass audience.

>I tried with you
>There's more to life than sleeping in and getting high with you

damn...

the album isn't meant to appeal to virgins
you obviously can't relate.

if you relate to drake's music you're probably a sociopath

Then why are you in the thread go jerk off to swans and radioplay!?

He means a different style, production, topics, themes, etc you fucking autists, i thought it was just a funny insult before but it seems very real

And an artist's personality doesn't add to their art? You really believe that? When an artist creates something personal (loved one dying, person they love, city they love, etc) is it shit because you have to "separate the artist from their art?" You don't think that adds meaning?

Oh fuck you
College Dropout: Soul, Chipmunk style sampling, Dre sampled beats, ask any producer, amateur or pro, it's a fuck ton harder to produce a song on a sample than to make the beat yourself.
Late Registration: Fancier production, heavy baroque influence, had to switch it up because everyone stole his old sound, had a whole orchestra to work with and lot more $$$
Graduation: Inspired by music he was listening to, such as U2 and Bono. He really liked how stadium concerts lit up and wanted to recreate stadium rock but with hip hop. Created some of his most best produced songs.
808s & Heartbreak: Genre bending, no one saw this coming. This basically created a whole sub genre on it's own, you've got to listen to it on your own, I can't spoonfeed you how good it is.
MBDTF: His best production by far. From a production standpoint this is his masterpiece. He was absolutely perfectionist with this album.
Watch The Throne: My personal least favorite. Stands out because for some odd reason he managed to make something that actually sounds like fancy rap. The content matches the album cover in a way thats hard to describe
Yeezus: Can't spoonfeed you this boi
TLOP: Gospel themed. He shows his two sides. His artistic side (p. picasso) with more humble songs and his arrogant side which represents Pablo escobar.

Niggas itt arguing that crazy shit someone does doesn't validate their work, then going and criticizing them for doing crazy shit im crine

>Sup Forums shitposting turbovirgin calling Rihanna's FWB a 'loser'
lol k

yup, listened to it all besides pablo. bunch of easy listening pop with easy 4/4 dance beats and easy childish lyrics... so deep, what an artist, wow...

Yeezus aint 4/4 or dance idiot

>Yeezus
>Easy listening pop
Shouldn't have given yourself away so easily dude.
Another troll to ignore, everyone

oh man, looks like he had a couple songs in 3! how could I have missed that mind bending experimentation!

is drake even black?

Who in the fuck sits down, plays some music, notes the fucking time signature and evaulates the song off of that?

pretty much every normalfag music casual I know likes kanye/drake/beyonce... you must really be interested in music to be able to get such art user...
how else could someone rigidly stick to the same time signature for their entire career sans 2 songs?

>childish lyrics
strange fruit hanging from poplar trees and rich nigga racism aren't childish lyrics fool

you sound like an underage who learned the basics of time signature and thinks that correlation between a pretty fucking popular time signature and pretty fucking popular songs means it's trash
I got stung by bee and I drank water earlier, time to stop drinking water!
fucking underage.

29yo, played in my college jazz band for 3 years, taught music lessons for over 5. I like plenty of 4/4 songs, I'm just pointing out he is just making more lowest common denominator pop and selling it as deep art.

>taught music lessons
>critiques kanye
lol there's a reason he's not just famous [21 grammy's] and you're not fool
Just because you know music theory does not make you a musical genius. Kanye obviously knew musical theory since he made his first beat in the 7th grade. Oh, but i guess his use of 4/4 time signatures equalized the playing field because you know how they work! Obviously, his 21 grammy's and his universal acclaim from almost every single musical artist was just luck huh?
Just stop.

Poptimists everyone.

LOL, you have no comeback, nothing left, no one even follows this thread anymore? Who are proclaiming to? Who is "everyone"? You just sound bitter, you sound jealous. Why? Because by your age Kanye was already a multimillionaire and won multiple grammy's?
What did you do at 26? Finish your undergrad for your low wage job?

So I'm not allowed to criticize pop until I'm as popular? I'm going to sleep, I hope you gain some perspective and an interest in music as an art, good night user

lol just shut the fuck up already fool
we all know you're bitter, come back when your low wage ass actually has something important to say other than feel high and mighty because your know musical theory.
