How?

How?
HOW!

>inb4 pure acetone

Mixture of rubbing alcohol and water applied to a soft cloth.

distilled water on microfiber cloth

I use Windex

Distilled Windex

I just use lens cleaning solution since I keep getting it free with other shit.

only the freshest of vaginal secretions

you dont know what windex already is do you

That wrecks anti glare coating

A damp cloth with water (ideally distilled) is best. Or get screen wipes at the store.

neutral detergent with warm water is what is written on

>I use Windex
>Distilled Windex
but i tried windex, and those stains arent going anywhere.
I think theyre coffee splooshees.

...

This is correct.

Don't use other solvents. You'll damage any coatings applied to the display surface.

So youre saying that acetone is great for cleaning monitors? Ok thanks!

Thinner

...

Anyone recommending distilled water is a dumb autist with no real life experiences.

but real water is acid and contains METAL D=
It will REKT your monitors, surely. distilled master-race :D

This is what's in most electronics wipes, btw. I also clean my floors and kitchen with it.

Isopropyl Alcohol (anything under 92%). It's strong enough to clean basically anything but not strong enough to damage.

Dude, you're a tranny.

Damn, your water supply sucks.

no, use isopropanol 50%

Not this.
Applying rubbing alcohol will cause discoloration in your screen as it partially dissolves away the various films they apply to the screen.
t. firsthand experience
it looks like I have a discolored cum stain on my monitor.

If your screen has a plate of glass (i.e. touchscreens) then rubbing alcohol is perfectly fine though.

I wipe it. Like with a rag.

IPA

>having a glare monitor with anti-glare coating
wut, what chink shit do you people buy

Brakeclean from an auto parts store.

post cum stain

you shithead, guess what rubbing alcohol is...HMM?

i dump it into the bathtub and give it a good ol rub

At an angle, it gets discolored, but it just looks like a grayish smudge when you look at it dead on.

The picture doesn't show all of the detail. The discoloration is actually really obvious and has a lot of fine details to it. In person, it looks a lot like giving someone the middle finger with your left hand.

do you really think the water you drink doesn't have any minerals?

use some MEK on it

I was told a damp cloth with a tad bit of dish soap (Dawn) was bretty good

You can safely use 99% IPA, discoloration only happens if you drench the fucking thing with the bottle of IPA. All you need is a capful on a microfiber cloth. Use the damped area to clean away grease/dust and the dry side to wipe away the IPA faster.

Using even 91% or lower IPA will cause smudging.

1:1 vinegar, distilled water

Windex.

Says the post op

The water I drink only contains sodium. I don't drink tap water

I use bees vaginal secretions, but they are expensive. 1ml costs around $5000 as they first have to give the bee a million orgasms and then mop up and put in a tiny dropper. Yup its worth it though.

toothpaste

I use white spirit. It works great and I've never noticed the coating getting fucked up.

this looks like you got it underneath the polarizing filter. good job, that's usually hard to do. don't fucking pour the alcohol straight onto the monitor next time.

Still cheaper than printer ink

Motherfuckign feather duster every other day.

See a spot? just spit an wipe it away with the cuff of your shirt.

I've bought several 2007FPs from eBay and always cleaned those filthy bastards (seriously, I wonder where they're from sometimes) with Lysol wipes. No problems with the coating on any of them yet and it's been a couple of years for some of them.

hair spray

Microfiber cloth with a small amount of cold water on it.

>T420 has some glue stuck to the plastic chin of the monitor, like 20 cm across and 1cm thick
>Try multiple times to wash with windex, alcohol, warm water, nothing
>"oh I know, acetone gets most organics off!"
>It got the paint right off as well
>Can see right through the plastic
>That part doesn't even look cool or techy inside

I've tried most of these meme methods and the only one that doesn't leave streaks is tap water on a piece of cloth.

moist towel when it's turned off

Don't wrecl the coating!

Soft damp cloth is all you need!

Paper towel + water + wring + wipe and immediately dry off with another paper towel.

Actually, DHMO IS AN ACID.
Hydric acid, to be specific.

isn't water bad for electronics though?
also droplet marks after evaporation

Water and a cotton cloth.

We're not telling you to spray water on the monitor.
Dampen the cloth and wipe. Then wipe with a dry cloth.

That's all you need.

Distilled water won't leave droplet marks.
