>First and second year uni: Emo revival, new pop punk, the new generation of hip hop like Kenny, Cole, Drizzy, etc + explored rap deeper
>Third year uni: indie rock, emo revival, 90s emo, electropop/synthpop/indietronica

Post punk is not really punk rock phamilia. What music do you like? I can probably give you some recs unless it's like bluegrass or some shit.
Anthony Howard

Carter Williams
Uh, any rock based music you like?
But if you like folk music, you might enjoy Frightened Rabbit. Check out their earlier albums (although I like their newer stuff more). Also not really post punk, although it has the same vibes, check out Creep On Creepin' On by Timber Timbre.

I caught the end of the emo phase in 2007/2008 so stuff like The Used, Linkin Park, Evanescence and Aiden, then I went right to artists like Suicide Commando, Front Line Assembly and Wumpscut, then Dinosaur Jr, Smashing Pumpkins and The Pixies, then Tom Waits and then for a while I just listened to a bunch of random crap like Twilight Ritual, Futurisk, The Mummies, Kavinsky and Poesie Noire
Asher Butler
>Robbie Williams >Green Day >RHCP >Rush >The Beatles >of Montreal Now it's anything I happen to like, no real favourites, just playlists of songs that I dig for one reason or another
Bentley Perry
What's wrong with rap?
It's steeped in post punk but it's a bunch of different genres too.
Gavin Wright
I do, saw them open for Mineral in San Francisco a year ago. Owen did a split with them recently. Does an interesting cover of Anchor.

>oblivious home radio-listening kid >hater of all music >classic '70s' Britprog >a brush with avant-prog, increasingly unapologetic definition of taste in terms of instrumental density >a feeling of endgame, feeling a possible resolution would be direct incorporation of ad hoc listening into own attempts at composition
