used to be neato now they're gayo :^(

love turned into hate

I've always liked them. I don't mind them going for a different sound.

When did they go from neato to gayo for you, friendo?

Coldplay is what Ed O'Brien would have done if he got kicked out in 97

more like OLDplay HAHA

I like their early stuff, he'll I even liked the "Gwyneth Paltro Breakup Experience". What is it about them that divide so many people?

their play is pretty cold

better than u2 desu but still shit

terrible terrible radiohead ripoff band

Nah, that would be Muse, at least Coldplay ,made a couple of good albums back in the days

mmm, no...

Mylo Xyloto desu

Adventure of a Lifetime is a fantastic pop song, guys.

muse made Origin Of Symmetry though which is actually good

...

good singles, bad albums

better than radiohead

They had like two OK albums and then a bunch of shit ones.

martin knows how to write a melody, they lack any kind of vision though

he probs would have made a great member of radiohead at the expense of that posh faggot ed or the baldy

Viva la Vida is a 9/10
everything after that album (and the Prospekt's March EP) is absolute shit

they used to be pretty good, Parachutes and Viva La Vida are good albums, everything since then is rubbish

>or the baldy

Radiohead would sound like shit with Chris Martin playing the drums

So is Absolution

>radiohead
>drums

I think Viva La Vida is a great album but that might just be Brian Eno's influence.

They have some good earlier singles too. Haven't paid attention to what they've done past VLV.

I dont even like their earlier albums which Sup Forums seems to praise
At least muse had 2 good albums and 2 above average albums

x&y is literally goat

Radiohead*

strawberry swing is a 10/10

Reminder they got Interpol bassist to quit music out of boredom

nme.com/news/interpol/87680

lol, now that's completely wrong

were a good-to-great pop-rock group with a great ear for a melody
then Eno gave them the magic touch for a short period and Viva La Vida and Prospekt's March were pretty much the pinnacle of balancing accessibility with experimentation and two of the most unique-sounding pop releases of the last 16 years
then they absolutely bottled it and became the absolute worst kind of poptimist garbage, most probably as a way for Chris Martin to pull a cringey forced smile instead of facing up to his increasing mental health problems and sleeping meds addiction because the happiness is clearly totally insincere, it's pretty embarrassing and sad really

Everything up to and including the single Christmas Lights was excellent, then with MX a few songs (see: Moving To Mars) were excellent and the rest were shit, and everything since has just been godawful.

Their early b-sides are pretty great-tier.

ikr

How the fuck do you go from

to

in 5 years?

>(see: Moving To Mars)
Holy shit this. MTM was their last good song and at the same time on of their best ever.

they decided they're splitting up the other day because they heard AMSP and realized it made a mockery of everything they have ever done

(probably) a true story

I'd believe it desu

EIGHT TO NINE, NINE TO TEN

why did they have to go to shit, Sup Forums? ;-;

Their drums are very comfy sometimes, they just do exactly what they need to and nothing else.

They have some decent songs early on, love me some clocks. Unfortunately they sold out and now make shitty radio pop

Simp af lyrics honestly one of the most beta bands of the last 2 decades

>one of the most beta bands of the last 2 decades
how about the button fixers?

youtube.com/watch?v=iQar3ayLaP4
>they will never make a song this good again
feels bad man
