Microsoft is living in lala land. I don't think anyone there really knows what they are doing anymore. They don't innovate or even bother improving existing products. They are just sitting around waiting on some other company to come along and eat their lunch for them. and what's weird is they don't seem to be the least bit concerned about it. maybe they just want to be a cloud service provider or something.

They sold pieces of Nokia, they really got what they wanted out of it which was patents and killing the excellent N9XX series devices and removing one of the major corporate backers of GNU/Linux at the time.
The only reason they killed Windows mobile is they intend to drag Windows itself down to that level removing 'unneeded legacy components' like the win32 compatibility layer.
