Rate my taste
most people who post in these threads have godawful taste in musif, whether it's scratching the surface of intensely creative and experimental music, the kings and queens of Sup Forumscore, gay ass video game soundtrack music, it's all fucking shit and you people need to stop.
see that's why you ignore all the profiles and only stay for possible music discussion
>musif

Not nice, Crimson Chin
Keep diving more into the baroque period, so much incredible music.
truth isn't nice tbqhwyf
Yea if you started listening to classical like a week ago
and don't get me started on l_s, he doesn't realize theres more than modern.
London
does that semen demon know you use her picture
rateyourmusic.com
there's often more to be found in modern classical that interests people who are mostly into "experimental" music (noise, musique concrete, eai, whatever) than most pre-20th century stuff. I don't understand the whole crusade against people for listening to modern classical without appreciating what came before. There's certainly less of a direct influence of Romanticism on something like Spectralism than Baroque on Classical, for example. The 20th century kind of destroyed the overarching narrative of western classical music.
>yeah if you just started listening to classical
this is arbitrary
no but when i meet her im going to ask her to be my gf
that album isn't anything special, it's decent but nothing more desu
rateyourmusic.com
what is this guy's fucking problem?
rateyourmusic.com
agreed (see profile) ( - :
isn't anything special compared to what or whom exactly ?
is this an abnormally large number of visits
why do you keep doing this
why do people (particularly boldfaure) always bring up that user in these threads for no reason?
>strategically adding picture of a girl after posting
I've had like 7000.
not that much
im still a nobody after 5 years of using the site ~_~
; - )
thats nothin
because he's the kind of person I don't like, a legitimate classical kind of poser (not in the Montie way, in the way that he actually does't care about the genre but wants to appear as if he does)
...
idk i thought it was a lot

i dont care if my taste is boring
i just like what i like
it is indicatif of u not exploring a lot of music to refine ur tastes and instead browsing mu too much
>christmas with family
>dad asks me to play some of his cumbia records so they can dance
>put on 音影 instead
>gaze into the nightsky as woodrose petals shade in two eeriely-isolated electronic juxtapositions as a kiss -- or semblant stoic continuance -- in apparent lieu of rendering salival secretions noted as purposely 'incidental.'
>reach rational ecstasy
>notice my grandma is crying
>she's talking to my mother who keeps saying "he's been like that for months, looking at empty walls in silence"
>get annoyed because they want to replace to utter bliss with populist "love" songs, as their conception of love is not meant to be an experience-in-itself as much as a recognizable social sign, a metanarrative apprehended and made internal by a series of bodies-turned-text by the hegemonic means of production
>calm myself down by remembering quotes from finnegans wake, my favorite book since i was a teenager
>mfw can't express myself because i'm a spectator in the society of spectacle
"It is not the slumber of reason which engenders monsters, but vigilant and insomniac rationality. - Gilles Deleuze" - ~Astigmata

what's with the resurgence in people making fun of the avant-garde rym community? is it because antiwarhol talked about us again?
find me on okc my friend
thanks : )
>avant-garde rym community
you mean circle jerk
I guess you'd have to care about classical music to understand.
>circle-jerk
>don't post on public forums constantly talking about how great they are
>don't post on public forums constantly talking about how shit some clique is
>a bunch of p4kfags get buttblasted just because they exist
the sad thing about this is that cumbia is actually thought of as some highly obscure patrician shit on rym, just like all the other 3rd world normal pop music.
do u have reading problems
n-no
similar to mine senpai
Nah
where's morton feldman's second string quartet though?
Uhh thanks for the Winter 1972 rec but I already listened to it
i think he's paying close attention to avant-math god and trying to have the exact opposite taste as him
can't say i blame him desu
>him
her
fuck off with your trap shit
>tfw reading some old school avant-banter
Avant-teen revival when?
Very soon. See Bippelle for example
where in boston r u
r u a qt girl
Wow. Transient Random-Noise Bursts really, really grew on me. Might be my favorite Stereolab record next to Dots and Loops.
Why do people tag their music as Experimental Rock though? The only one I can kind of understand is the aforementioned Transient Random-Noise Bursts. Having the tag on Mars Audiac Quintet and Emperor Tomato Ketchup makes no sense outside a few tracks that aren't even representative of the album
Anyways, Hi anonfriends!
fuck off
>one user
>revival
Pham, even Eich himself has left that shit behind. It's ogre
what are some up-and-coming avant-teens
Rich*
that's a trick question, anyone who is an avant-teen in 2016 is irrelevant
what's the likelihood of Karl or Svusk ever coming back?
it's funny how obsessed the people here are with people who barely acknowledge their existence lel
>Karl
Zero.
>Svusk
Who?
AVANT MEME IS OVER
Enjoy your Smiths and Basic Channel.
This.
Every avant-teen has already gone their own way and some even left the site for good, don't expect a meaningful resurrection
Remember when AntiWarhol's 5.0s were filled with cool shit? Arsenije Jovanovic, Oidupaa Vladimir Oiun, Les 120 Jours, Antoine Beuger... Now all he listens to is ~oldies~. What the fuck happened?
Glitchwave when

The top 5 songs of the 60s:
5. A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall
4. Like a Rolling Stone
3. Stuck Inside Mobile
2. It's All Over Now Baby Blue
1.Visions of Johanna
It got better.
Seriously, Arsenije Jovanovic is mediocre and Antoine Beuger is shit. Oidupaa and 120 are decent, but they don't compare to something like Longing For the Past.
Personally, I'm quite fine to live in a world where 3 minutes a cello note and 2 hours of a sine wave aren't considered the greatest things ever, because they aren't.
Yeah. I also liked that he added that Akina Nakamori album to his five stars, that album is fucking amazing
>Basic Channel
fucking prime techno m8 fuck off
>Antoine Beuger is shit.
pffft
youtube.com
he got old
I'm not saying his new ratings are bad, but stumbling across his profile in 2010 or 2011 completely changed the way I perceive music. It was like discovering a portal to another dimension, honestly.
