>I think, by the way, that my experience of German literature has something to do with my belief that German art and culture is fundamentally autistic. One needs only look at the leading lights to see what I mean– can anyone deny that Bach's music is the most autistic art in the world, for example? Being a high-functioning autistic myself, I'm bound to have a strong response to him, to Wagner, to Kraftwerk, to Musil, etc.
Well, Sup Forums, are they wrong?

yeah, bach was autistic as fuck, which is why his music has no real emotion or soul and is basically the equivalent of obsessively arranging blocks.

How do people manage to write entire essays on albums? I guess it's just my writing style but I prefer shorter, concise reviews over 10 paragraphs littered with anecdotes.

>Tfw cataloging your entire physical collection but not interested in them enough to go back and listen/rate them all at the moment.

what is this 2008?

What is your conformity rating?

rateyourmusic.com/misc/conformity

my one without the weight (that looks useless), is 0,86

PS: I easily calculated this using excel

>Conformity Rating: 0.65

>weight (that looks useless)
Here is the reason given by the creator (profiction)

You're just about done. What I've done is to adjust these numbers to more closely reflect how similar your ratings are to RYMS. There are no albums on RYM with higher than a 4.49 rating, so naturally all of your 5 star albums will differ by at least 0.5 stars. On the opposite end of the spectrum, most albums on RYM are rated 3.00 and above. So most of your 0.5 and 1.0 star ratings will be WAY off! So apply these adjustments to the number you just calculated (the average of your differences):

To the average of the differences between your 5.0 star album ratings and RYM ratings... divide by 2
For 4.5... divide by 1.5
4.0 - divide by 1.25
3.5 - do nothing.
3.0 - do nothing.
2.5 - divide by 1.25
2.0 - divide by 1.5
1.5 - divide by 1.75
1.0 - divide by 2
0.5 - divide by 3

Hey guys, how long does it usually take for a new user to be given a user weight (higher than zero)?

I've been rating for just over a month and have almost 200 ratings. How long before my ratings actually have impact on the averages? Also almost all of them are above 2.0, is this why I dont have a weight yet, or will it mean I am given a lesser weight?

Thanks famalams

Is an asymmetrical rating system acceptable? I wanna change around my positive rating decsriptions, but that would throw off the balance.
