and AMD stock keeps going down, it's like a bizzaro world.

>crypto fags buy AMD giving them vital R&D money
>gaymers only buy nvidia, furthering their monopoly so we can enjoy $2000 GPUs in the future

Won't make a dent though. Nvidias net income is still far greater than AMDs combined.

Cryptofags buy Nvidia too you moron.
Either way as much as you cry blockchain isn't going down, so that means AMD and Nvidia revenue will jump astronomically every quarter.

Pretty much.
There's always a coin to mine, and for both GPU vendors.
Fortunately, AMD is eating into very lucrative markets that are closed off for NV, since NV makes no CPUs.

>makes no CPUs worth shit

Fixed.

I still don't understand how NV failed to grasp the concept of simply making wide ARM core and instead went for VLIW abortions.

>marketshare based purely on manufacturing speed
wew

If that was the case, then AMD would've lost some.
Fab8 is running at 100% capacity.

Nvidia wins because TMSC has higher wafer output.

But that doesn't matter if DRAM capacity is bottlenecking.

Can someone give me a straight answer
Why the fuck is memory pricing so fucking high? Is it being horded somewhere? I cant imagine phones are to blame, so what is draining the supply of memory? do we have a memory chip trust on our hands?

>Why the fuck is memory pricing so fucking high?
Supply/demand, also probably price fixing.
>I cant imagine phones are to blame
Phones _are_ to blame. Fucking hell 6GB of LPDDR4X in a flagship!

>dat sharp

Based 970 3.5

>so what is draining the supply of memory?
Phones, IOT, spiking SSD demand required DRAM buffers, and most importantly new server platforms (Purely, EPYC) have significantly increased the addressable memory amount compared to previous generations, they're the ones mostly consuming the DRAM

Besides, 64L 3D NAND ramp was sluggish as hell.
At least from now on NAND prices will be going down since every major vendor has succesfully converted their bits to 64L 3D NAND.

>Supply/demand
I could say that about any market, anytime. That's not a good descriptor. The 1970 gas shortage was just supply and demand, bro.
I am asking exactly what this insane, to the point of shortage, demand is!
This guy has the right idea. Thank you.
So do you have a good article I can read on this?

>I am asking exactly what this insane, to the point of shortage, demand is!
Literally phones.

the truth or these faggots parroted lies
the truth is illegal price fixing is happening again
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DRAM_price_fixing

amd sold all the rx4xx and 5xx because Ethereum

>price fixing is bad
There is nothing wrong with price fixing. It is the only way you are going to get any competitors into the space and things should be priced correctly.

Y-Yeah, it's going d-down... finished and b-bankrupt guys, we won!

...

What happened in 2014?

WTF I LOVE MINERS NOW

Aren't AMD GPUs fabbed at TMSC?

>Chronological data in reverse order

Maxwell

Maxwell and 2xx rebrand to 3xx

All GPUs go to miners faggots, how exactly does AMD market share go up? That makes no sense at all

Wut? Crytofag bought all the fucking poolaris

good job mr amd

Market share of GPU's being used out there not gaming.

No, GloFo.
But they are going back to TSMC next year.

Good job cryptoniggers
