hello long lost twin
jesus why are we so on point guys

Mixtape is dope as hell. Its a nice break up in tone from the rest of the album. You can here rainfall, it sounds like it was recorded in a dark alley.
Its like he took his talent to the streets to rap with the guys who haven't been able to fight the labels as successfully as he has.

Agreed, in the context of the album, its awesome. Incredibly underrated, hive mind slammed it before anything else so people are too ignorant to actually LISTEN to it and THINK about it.

rapping and hook are boring as fuck

beat is cliche as fuck

lyrics are vapid as fuck

shitty track ass fuck

Cliche, and boring, are actually the most subjective, over used critiques you could've pulled out of your ass. Vapid? Seriously? Do you know what the means?

>Fuck them reviews that they put in the paper
Did what I wanted, didn't care about a hater
Delivered my tape to the world as a caterer

>I ain't felt like this since the third drought, third carter drop
Told my momma third grade I'd be in the third Barbershop
And you know momma got real worried when she heard college drop
But now I call the shots

>In that choppa I see your perimeter
Change the culture, cause my ring is a solar

Vapid?

>Juke Jam
>not an actual juke song

does Sup Forums have an opinion on lil yachty?? he killed mixtape

never heard anything else by him but i agree

he makes what he calls "bubblegum trap" and its pretty cool, worth a listen

Yeah all of that is vapid, it's just brag rapping you idiot.

"its just brag rapping"
Okay, well this man doesn't understand hip-hop. Anyone have an actual argument?

i tell a lie actually, i've heard 1 Night, that collab he did with Riff and that Minnesota track with Thugger

it's kinda terrible but brilliant

>Okay, well this man doesn't understand hip-hop.
Oh so you're saying it's an entire genre that's vapid?

>wayne is a real fan of kidnapping

what

It has a direct connection to No Problem if you listen closely, I consider it a sort of reprise imo

He's trying to inspire young artists to stay independent instead of signing their lives away to a label

Yo I mean I'm not the biggest fan of mixtape but thats your response to what he layed out...really...you're fucking lost dude.

my thoughts exactly. its shitty but for some reason i can't stop listening to it. same thing happened with chance and thugger

Yup, that's clearly the part of your statement I was addressing. Like when I put in those quotation marks, that wasn't what I wanted you to focus on. You keep doin you Sloth.

I genuinely really love Thugger, and like Chance a fair bit as well

Just listened to that No Hook by Yachty and thought that was really good

Give it a rest, I dont think its the greatest song ever but your responses make no sense to what he's saying

Pretty sure he quoted you talking about brag rapping.

Thug and Chance are two of my favorite rappers, but their voices were both very off putting and made me go "what the fuck is this bullsthit" at first.

Hurt

Definitely off putting at first, but I feel like thats what chance wanted. The song is about MIxtapes being unpopular, rejected, looked down upon, so I think he tried to convey that through his voice. Whether that worked or not is up to you. Personally, I believe it did.

Best: Disintegration
Runner-Up: Same Deep Water As You
Worst: Fuck I can't choose they're all amazing

Thug certainly did, I got into Chance pretty much straight away

downloaded Lil Boat to listen to now anyway, sucks that this shit is only available in 128kps

Best: Born Under Punches
Runner-Up: Once In A Lifetime
Worst: Seen and Not Seen

yeah i love mixtape but the first time i heard chance was probably his feature on loyalty.
Lil Boat took a few listens for me to really love but its one of my favorite rap releases this year

CORRECT MY NIGGER

some parts of the album feel out of place

The Overload for example. Why the fuck is there a Joy Division track in my album?
