Install Office 365 from the Microsoft Store

>Install Office 365 from the Microsoft Store
>x200 more smooth

So this is the power of Office using the Edge engine instead of Internet Explorer. The interface is more responsive and with smoother animations. Even Outlook is fixed.

Linuxfags will never experience the best Office suite, and that makes me happy.

From Ms store? What? Is it a full flegded office suit or a stripped down version?

> .1 sheckles have been deposited into your account.

Is the full version except onenote

>software as a service
>requires monthly subscription
dropped

>best office suite
>NOT libreoffice

drive.google.com

but why doesn’t it have OneNote?

These.

I use LaTeX.

I think it includes the cheapest 1TB cloud storage

Libre Office would be far better if they would pick that Libie mascot

Because you use the UWP version instead.

This
For as much as i dislike google, it is so convenient and just as good that it is stupid not to use it
Saves having hundreds of documents on my hardrives that could be lost at any moment. And any important documents that contain sensitive info i either use pen and paper or just good old notepad

Can you make spreadsheets with Latex? How about presentations?

Same trick works with Spotify. I first figured this out when I tried it on a system where RAM really mattered and was pleased to see it performed better than the standard desktop version

LibreOffice is nice, but I prefer OpenOffice myself.

>spreadsheets
no
>presentations
yes, with a special class called "beamer"

can't you use ms office via web client?

yes but it sucks

Literally the only thing Office is good for

>2018
Not having an E3 corporate account paid by your company.

>Being devout with office software
God damn, you must be a fucking boring person.

I got O365 last week, previously I was on 2016, and as you could guess I didn't see any difference.
O365 is all about fancy shit like cloud storage and web interfaces, all the things a good Sup ForumsI Joe does not want to ear about.

Ayy lmao
Libreoffice is fine for really easy tasks and it's free. So you don't need to buy or pirate MS Office.
For demanding tasks you need Excel

> Using office outside of work in 2018

Will admit office 365 is decent. It's on my computer at work.
I wouldn't use or pay for it myself though, since outside of work I don't have any need for an office suite, and I use gmail. In the rare case I need to use a word processor or spreadsheets I use google docs/spreadsheets. Great for simple things and all you really need.

And if you have a decent job, you will need Outlook. There is nothing better.

>not using you own Latex git repository
Lmao at wage cucks

Thunderbird is better tho

True

I was responsible for IT shit at my old job and we used Thunderbird.
It's a steaming pile of shit. The configuration was set that it would download gigabytes of E-Mails into AppData, which then slowed down all the machines. The Calendar extension is buggy as hell.

Besides games, any other software is as boring as an office suite.

I use Office everyday. I depend of it. I enjoy when it has improvements.

>Thunderbird is better tho
Not when using Exchange.

Which sucks, because I like Thunderbird.
