I got an X230 for AUD230. It's great except the trackpad sucks. Not a huge deal really as you can always use a mouse.

T400, R400. Make sure to Libreboot it, upgrade the RAM, and install an SSD. That should cost you less than 200€ all up and it will run Arch very well.
It has a trackpoint. But the X230 has a rubbish keyboard so don't recommend that, please.
