Why would we want to? It keeps morons clumped together and easy to label / ignore.

We don't.
Let retards circlejerk over crappy technologies.

you can't. it'll get better over time.

its a meme for webfags who cant understand pointers, y do u even want a gui for ?? gentoo MR

By having a decent non-shitty gui library available for most languages with decent tooling support and declarative layout.

Also for webcucks who doesn't want to do owner-draw their own controls.

You mean Qt?, Qt5 is the most acceptable widget toolkit, shame is being bloated with Mobile and IoT Shit.

Demonstrate to me the ease of use from any of the following languages:
Haskell, Scala, Clojure, F#.

Demonstrate further to me the simple and declarative layout dsl.

>"Electron can bring web apps to the desktop offline use!"
>Electron fucking crashes if there's no network connection, because somehow it can't fork a process without it.

Is this Atom? or is it electron?
O-or is it react?! hold on.. Maybe it is reactOS!

>Is this Atom? or is it electron?
Atom is a text editor built with Electron. They're basically the same thing.

Electron used to just be called Atom-shell

I refuse to believe this is real

>Demonstrate me the usage from and with meme garbage that negates half the advantages Qt offers.
That said, nothing stops you from creating your own unmaintained meme DSL since it is common business with Hasklel, Dotty 0.3, slow and EEEML.

It's over, Reddit won.

Fake news. Just tested it on vscode and GitHub desktop.

Qt also uses WebKit.

>Qt also includes WebKit.

Nobody is forcing you to use bloat like Qtweb/browserwhatever or QML when you can as well use plain Qt widgets.

Frontend development with C++ is a pain. Qt makes it somewhat bearable.

Electron will fail to execute if there's no network connected, with or without internet access, Such as Loopback Adapters, and VM Virtual Networking host drivers.

u don't necessarily need c++, use .NET(god forbid) for windows or qt for linux AND windows

That sounds neither likely nor implausible.
Can somebody test this? Ideally with a new electron blank project, because you never know where VSCode devs improve it?

So you're saying electron requires a network driver to be installed? (Not necessarily a connection but a driver)
I am intrigued. Is there an issue on GitHub that you can link to?

Fake fucking news. Like
said, GitHub issue or shut the fuck up.

And so my response stands.

Is how someone will kill electron.

It's not going to die until someone writes a GUI lib that significantly cuts the DEVELOPER cost of applications.

Nothing wrong with .NET for front end development, unless you want your app to run on Linux obviously but there are ways to do that too.
