Cobain was one of us

that's pretty damn good taste for the pre-internet era desu

this is the most Sup Forums comment ive ever seen

>Green
That's the worst early REM album

>one rap album
>it's by public enemy

Still don't get why he put stuff like Fang, it's meh

And The Shaggs were just awful imo, pretty sure he was memeing

On the other hand, it's their best major label release

He liked The Shaggs because they didn't care if they were good or bad, they just made some music.

...

they were pretty much forced by their crazy dad though

Kurt loved twee shit as much as he did punk shit.

True, but he did say "It's so obviously the real thing"

i listened to Pod for the first time today and it's amazing
I only knew a few songs from the breeders and i expected the album to be a inferior Pixies but i might like this even more than the Pixies

and i'll just add that that Happiness Is a Warm Gun cover is sex

awful rockist taste

I'd kill myself too, if I had taste as plebeian as that

this is an impressively low quality post

still have no idea what rockist means

someone who coonsider rock the only authentic genre, superior to anything else.

>still don't know how to internet

>Inplying that's bad

well then i don't see how it applies to Cobain.
First it's hard not to be into Rock in the mid 80s to early 90s, and even then he was already into Hip Hop

kill yourself then :^)

>tfw you got to see Kim Deal perform solo live in a room of 30 people
>tfw she signed your Last Splash CD and took a pic with you and her twin/fellow Breeder

do you realize when this was written?

>all these EPs and short albums

he probably had the attention span of a child

so?

>he was on ADHD medication as a young kid

Also its not like discography comps from Vaselines, Scratch Acid, etc were available in 92

i know i said that jokingly, but it's funny to see even most LPs on the list are only around 30 minutes long (Stooges, Pixies, Breeders...)
Not that there's something wrong with it though

that's not even true. Rockism has to do with being attached to the ideals of rock. Having an attachment to 'authenticity' of performance, to performers writing their own songs, to the album format as artistic vehicle, etc. Singles, artifice, collaboration, are not rockist.
Cobain has some compilations, some girl bands, the beatles' pop albums, I dunno if he really fits the mold.

>doesn't mention KC's Red, one of the biggest influnces on his sound

he mentioned it in his journals i think
