Porn is degenerate and you should stop watching it.

>muh children

The sure fire way to push through any legislation that encroaches on your liberty

reported

Someone sat them down and told them about the massive spike in crime from sexually repressed teens that would no doubt happen. It'll get pushed back again in six months for the same reason.

sorry that I don't want to read the whole article, are we talking a checkbox "I'm an adult" or are we talking "connect the card reader and insert ID"

Wouldn't Sup Forums get blocked too?

The latter

They will do an ID check, so the government knows which sites you visited

well awesome! that should work :)

>if you don't watch porn you become a rapist
So this is the power of Britbongistan...

In their usual authoritarian way, the Conservatives are refusing to reveal the details. They floated making people register for what was basically an online porn licence, where you'd have to input your porn license ID into each website. Of course, the license would require your real ID to sign up for. It’s a fucking disgrace This is the same party who tried to ban encryption, by the way. They're kept afloat entirely by the 55+ "videogames are corrupting our children" demographic.
I want off this wild ride.

if the people who don't want other people to watch porn consider it porn, it will be blocked.

yes.

Yes

It's not the people I personally know that I'm referring to, mate. Plenty of undesirables.

Teenagers are craftier than you might remember, they'll get around that somehow.

Everyone I know already watched porn when they were under 18, same thing with Sup Forums. Do you think they're all 18 here?

Apparently Germany has this law already. Any krauts to elaborate?

And now consider that the Tories are still more appealing than Labour. Nobody is going to vote for a party that brings in as many immigrants as it can to secure votes, then allows those same immigrants to run around doing as they please with impunity and uses the ol' (((racist))) excuse as to why they have impunity, have praised Communists on more than one occasion, is led by an unironic Communist, has the most anti-white and anti-British politician around (it's Diane Abbott btw, you might remember her when she was on television claiming Mao did more good than bad), and if you think they wouldn't push through the exact same things the Tories do then you're braindead.
You would be willing to vote for a party like that just because you can't gf? I've found some pathetic people on this site during my time here, but you're nudging yourself wayyy into the lead.
This isn't the '70s anymore, you aren't being edgy by voting Labour and being anti-Tory. Just like you weren't being a radical by voting Remain. Believe it or not I don't even like the Tories myself and never have, nor will, vote for them. But like I said, they're still more appealing than Labour, but that's because I understand a little bit about politics and I'm not a living example of why "democracy" is so flawed by only thinking "how does this personally benefit me" when election day rolls around. Maybe when you become an adult you'll think the same. Maybe then you'll stop being one of the average IQ pseuds that thinks they're anti-establishment by doing what the establishment wants and stops keeping these retards afloat. I wouldn't count out on it, but desu I wouldn't even count on you to water a houseplant atm.

No, it doesn't.
At least not for online porn as far as my experience goes

It doesn't.
Germany actually has really loose laws on porn.

When you buy a prepaid card, you have to go online and have your phone camera point at your face and then at your I'd to verify it or something, or you go to the post office

You can't keep Germans away from their scat porn bro

Why can't the porn sites just tell the government to fuck off since their servers aren't hosted there?

>make britain christian again

It'd probably be enforced by a would-be Great Firewall of the UK.

The porn sites wouldn't have a say in the matter.

>bbc.co.uk/news/technology-43370999
Use a VPN, or do you need mummies permission to use the computer ?.

Personally I don't give a shit about this, it's ironic though that they're aggressively pursuing this while sweeping child molestation on under the carpet.

Complete and utter fucking useless retards.

porn is banned under sharia law anyway

But child molestation is.

*unseathes VPN*
omae wa mou shinde iru

*is not

have been watching porn in germany my entire life

have never been asked to identify myself

regardless of whether or not that's right (it isn't btw), this is a bad thing for freedom of speech reasons. They'll likely block more than just porn.

That probably won't happen, because this will likely be trivial to circumvent, much like the piratebay block hasn't stopped anyone in the UK from pirating or visiting thepiratebay.

>This is the same party who tried to ban encryption, by the way

Don't kid yourself this is a single-party issue. Tories are worse, but Labour aren't great - if this ends up being implemented, they sure as shit won't roll it back in 2022. Lib Dems are the only major party who give a shit about privacy (yeah, I realise I'm stretching the definition of 'major' to breaking point here).

Except this isn't actually about porn. The proposed system of "age verification" would require you log your ID on a government database every time you access either social media or porn, so that every page viewed and comment posted can be easily linked to a real-world identity. This could then be accessed by police for easy prosecution (no seriously, that's a selling point). Some poor bastard over on reddit has already been arrested and fined for calling rioters "monkeys", these are the kinds of laws we'd be seeing systematically enforced if this system is ever implemented. Once the law is passed, VPNs become ways of circumventing the law and will be regulated (i.e. licensed and backdoored) in due course.

It's also worth nothing that neither "porn sites" or "social media" has been formally defined, it's entirely possible Sup Forums could be considered both.

WOW good fucking job, I've been stockpiling porn since late October last year on 2TB external hard drives. I was planning on selling them like the smugglers in North Korea.

Both major parties (Conservative and Labour) support authoritarian policies and have a poor record on civil liberties. If you care about civil liberties in the UK the only party that consistently supports them is the Liberal Democrats.
>inb4 muh tuition fees
The lib dems introduced it as a graduate tax by the backdoor, you don't pay anything if you can't afford it. It's the tories who've been raising the interest rates on student debt above inflation.

In general we're all fucked in the UK. The youngsters think comrade Corbyn is the second coming of christ and the geriatrics keep voting tory in the hopes their houses will keep appreciating in value. No one has any imagination.
I guess anyone with two braincells can use a proxy to change their IP.

I honestly don't know what the government is thinking with this system, its going to be such a gigantic fucking mess.

It would work at an ISP level, where you have age blocks, but they're already doing this and people just turn it off, so now they want it per-website and I cannot see how they can possibly get individual websites to co-operate with it, places like Sup Forums, e-hentai and so many thousands of other obscure imageboards and porn hosting sites will never co-operate so will just get blocked I presume which will just results in people buying VPN's to circumvent it?

Like the solution to this is obvious, teach parents how to better supervise their children or put the PC in the living room etc. but no we have to instead have this fucking terrible fucking mess of a system implemented.

STOP WATCHING PORN.
This

I would ignore this report and continue as if the ban comes into effect next month. Just because the government says there will be a delay doesn't mean private companies won't still implement their systems on schedule. This has nothing to do with porn and everything to do with controlling thought.

Prudes. Just because you all suffer from porn addiction doesn't mean the rest of us can't enjoy it a couple times a week.

if i have kids and decide i want to block porn on their devices, then i do so by my own choice. ISPs already offer ways achieving this.

is the government MY mother now?

So what will eventually happen is that when porn becomes restricted or monitored by governmental organizations porn-viewers will seek refugee on the Tor-network. This will bring people in touch with the most degenerate fetishes, probably reduce fertility rates, and worse; it's a very easy gateway to child pornography. Can you imagine the consequences?

Oh you silly britbongs

Holy fucking shit. All I said is that the Tories are authoritarians, which they objectively are, and you dump this diarrhoea liquid shit all over the board.
>I don't even like the Tories myself and never have, nor will, vote for them.
So why the fuck did you write this comment, you dumb fuck? Did I sign off with "oh vote labour btw"? No? No, I fucking didn't. Jesus fucking christ. The fact that you assume anybody who doesn't vote Torie must be a secret Labour-voting UNIRONIC COMMUNIST leads me to the only logical conclusion that you do in fact vote Torie, but you can't even begin to defend their actions, so you masquerade as the centrist who thinks they’re all bad. “I actually understand politics”, he says, while his only argument is screaming communism at anybody who sounds like they might hold an even remotely left-wing political stance.
This is fucking pathetic. You're a fucking retard. Fuck off, and stop subjecting me to your dumb bullshit. You’ve got Sup Forums for screeching incoherent nonsense at your own self-constructed strawmen, maybe those folk will be more accepting.
Fuck me.

>They'll likely block more than just porn.
yourlogicalfallacyis.com/slippery-slope

fallacy!=wrong
just not logically valid

I've been preparing for this day. I have 2.1 TB of random pornographic content saved up. My right to pornography shall not be infringed.

Attached: 1385970546582.png (448x421, 240K)

All of the sudden, Staatssicherheit knocks on your door. "AUFMACHEN, UND SCHNELL". So what will you do, user?

>Watching Western porn

jav is boring as hell. even more formalistic than your typical american trash porn. sure, the girls are hot but their fake moaning is even more annoying than the typical FUCK YES YES FUCK

i stick to amateur stuff

you're an absolute idiot if you don't think this is purely about the government giving itself more power over you.

slippery slope is not a fallacy but a valid argument in this case. just like when HM government decided to keep logs of all of your online activity - what if they decide to make homosexuality illegal again? too bad, they now have logs which prove you fap to gay porn and you are now a criminal faggot.

you don't have to listen to the supposed reason WHY they're introducing this law, you have to think about WHAT these changes actually allow the government to do, and what they could lead to if other laws are introduced.

trips confirms.

i.4cdn.org/gif/1520875317648.webm

>labour aren't authoritarians as well

So run by me again, why don't you want this to escalate, exactly?

>mfw being burger and listening to people boo me for being terrified of the government

I fucking hate the world we live in right now

Attached: 1517185348166.jpg (1280x720, 65K)

>slippery slope is not a fallacy but a valid argument in this case.
Gee, how convenient!

What an utter moron.

That guy is an idiot but slippery slope isn't necessarily a fallacy just so you know.

The fallacy stems from going from "banning cereal" leads to Hitler. This case, however, is backed up by the repeated seizure of power by a federal power, which continues to seize it. And assuming a 1984 type of society is not an awful conclusion.

This is the future you wanted you torie voting idiots
>muh brexit

Are you genuinely schizeophrenic?
