i need the tool to generate images automatically, can't be arsed to crop all of them from audacity
you'd think you would find such a thing easily on google, but noooooo
ffmpeg will do what you want. But it will require you to write the script. If you are comfortable with scripting then check out :
trac.ffmpeg.org
I don't know of any automatic gui type programs that do what you are asking (doesn't mean they aren't out there). Good luck.
FFMpeg with custom script indeed. Am seriously wondering what one would need the waveform images for though, hah.
they're informative to me. you can judge about the content of the audio.
Have you tried mood bars?
a what?
Mars bar you faggot do you know what a marsbar is
i'm not going to talk to you.
en.m.wikipedia.org
I think it gives better visualisation on a song than waveform

There is also the showspectrum/showspectrumpic filter in ffmpeg (see the very last example):
trac.ffmpeg.org
Again, it will require a lot of heavy lifting on your part if you aren't familiar with CLI scripting.

I'm this guy but I understand it now. Probably has sth to do with mastering so don't think he's after that.
interesting, gonna experiment with that. but this time i definitely need waveform images.
i definitely need a gui. im total pleb at this.
Dumb phone poster and his dumb phone links
And saved ( I converted to jpg because 4chin won't allow 5MB picture)
this is for spectrograms tho. i need a tool that would batch generate waveform jpegs for a large amount of files.
literally does exactly what you want op
