'Music is my life I love everything but country and hip hop"
>Library is just top 40 and tame impala

These ppl piss me off

Lmao. I know what you mean. Definitely have met too many of these people. Though these people annoy the shit out of me, I don't really trash on them until they try to say any of that music's the "best" music. That's usually the metalheads4lyfe group.

>"I love music!"
>doesn't listen to classical or jazz

>I love music
>Doesn't listen to as many genres as possible

you forgot 5 token jazz albums

>"I love music!"
>listens to jazz

>I listen to all types of underground music!
>Swans, Death Grips, the list goes on

That's being too nice, it's probably 3 at most

THIS

>I watch moe anime

Rock and electronic music is more diverse than jazz

>filthy frank is my role model

They're still pleb as fuck fag.

In terms of variety and diversity;

1. traditional folk
2. classical
3. electronic
4. rock
4. jazz
5. the rest

>1. traditional folk
lol

It's very boring and simplistic, people only thinks it's patrician because no one listens to it

simplicity is irrelevant, its 100,000 years of music from every corner of the globe

>bulgarian folk music
>simplistic
I hope you're joking

>literally grouping all that music under the same label even if they are absolutely unrelated to each other just because "lol it's traditional music anyway"
Off yourselves.

Too bad folk right now is anyone equipped with a nylon-string guitar, three chords and a middle school diploma

I'm not the one who did it, talk to the user who posted .

Same goes for jazz, classical and electronic but that doesn't stop Sup Forums

what's so complex about it?

No, thats just what retarded Sup Forumstants believe

folkways.si.edu/

t. person who hasn't heard Bulgarian folk music

I guess it's just my local scene then

acoostic + geetah is what normies think folk is sure

t. retard
i asked you a question. either answer it or don't reply

don't tell me what to do

>traditional folk
it's like saying chinese is the most talked language and therefore the most important

...

>grouping all those different sounds under the label "music" even if they are absolutely unrelated to eachother just because "lol it's music anyway
It's just an umbrella term, there are obviously more specialized ones

don't tell me what to do

wrong

1. Classical
2. Jazz
3. Rock

"electronic" is not a genre and traditional folk is waaay too broad of a classification to be compared to the others. it's not even really a genre, it just means "not art music or popular music".

>"I like music"
>doesn't listen any kind of music but people told him Beatles and dadrock are the top notch

>"I love music!"
>likes syncopation

>I watch youtube e-celebs

>"Music is my life!"
>doesn't play an instrument

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

No one mentioned importance.

"I'm rally into music"
>Krautrock, free jazz, harsh noise, oh boy the list goes on. This is applicable to anything.

>Sup Forums in charge of music

>rock
>jazz
>variety

Duke Ellington and Jamiroquai sound so similar amirite

>singing

don't tell me what to do

jazz has like 500 times the variety of rock and is responsible for almost every innovation that ever happened in rock. rock is pathetic by comparison.

of course jazz is pathetic in comparison to classical, though.

lol u fucking idiots, name me 1 good genre that isnt pop.

u cant, stop...

>traditional folk is simplistic
>this statement is meaningful without specifying a tradition

That chart is horrible.

They are Sup Forums made charts from cicra 2009

pathetic is a bit of a lame word to use for a musical genre.
jazz and rock havent been around long.
especially not as long as classical.
but the variety and development of new styles in the 20th century is unsurpassed. within a couple of decades both genres, jazz and rock spawned dozens of sub genres.
In classical music periods, for instance the classical period, were as long as almost a decade. By now genres are in and out in ten years.

Hip hop is the most varied genre today, objectively.

of course! why didnt i think of that before!!!!!!

nigga.
underground electronic music. by far.
