ppl say this a lot and i don't get it

i find it pretty unsettling, i don't find it relaxing at all. good for spacing out to, but not for actually resting

brilliant album btw, i just think it affects me differently to other people

anything by sleep research facility

what because its shite ambient?

AIA

Brian Eno's Music For Airports and Ambient 3 (w/ Laraaji)

SAW II if you want trippy dreams

and this - youtube.com/watch?v=5FGl5XJg6Zc

gas - pop

>trippy dreams

more like Big Nightmares

I dont know about falling asleep, desu. But sometimes I'll put on some ambient music and just sit in the dark, all quiet and shit. Its really relaxing and sort of makes you feel other-worldly.

>tfw you can't do this because of tinnitus and because your pc is noisy as fuck

i feel bad for you bro

I don't understand how people can fall asleep listening to music. I just start focusing on it and then it keeps me up.

>summer
>outside the city
>1:00
>little light pollution because the streetlights are already gone at this hour
>milky way over your head
>dead silence you can hear your cigarette burning
>messier 45 tiny volume

Every single one of those moments make me regret my career choice.

I dunno, the SHRIEKING SEAGULL halfway through Echoes would probably roust me from any slumber I was having.

it is the worst thing to happen and it keeps happening to me all the time. When I don't listen to any music, I fall asleep under 5 minutes, maybe this has something to do with it. I have fallen asleep listening to noise, free jazz, classical, punk, bebop, anything really. It's ADHD combined with me being tired all the time and boom, no matter how interesting the music is, I fall asleep if I close my eyes or if I'm in a horizontal position,

>tfw can't fall asleep to music no matter how soothing/relaxing it is

I just fall into this meditative state where the only conscious part of me is the music-hearing part.

great choices

for me it's pic related, the B side (Liumin Reduced)

SleepResearch_Facility or Thomas Köner

We had this thread yesterday and again there was no mention of Steve Roach.

Most Eno related ambient albums are great for sleeping. Pic related is like drifting off into a deep sea dive. Totally immersive.

Great shout also.

Obligatory

good man

FEARLESS

Nice. The rain in this is beautiful.

I don't know if you could really consider this ambient, but The Hafler Trio has some great stuff for falling asleep to.

I used to really dislike that Stars of the Lid record but I've been listening to it again and it really clicked with me man, it's fucking gorgeous isn't it?

My suggestion is listen to BCD by Basic Channel. It's not ambient in the sense that Tim Hecker or Stars of the Lid are, but it's so utterly relaxing.

fav track of all time

honestly, ae

>any Carbon Based Lifeforms of course!

TwentyThree is actually a good ambient album, not going to lie.

Just listen to ambient music. Put one long song on repeat and the repetition will help you relax and fall asleep.

I listen to this on loop most of the time youtube.com/watch?v=EfZxZmbbWI8

Sometimes I'll listen to Somnium youtube.com/watch?v=_Ld5uEuA0Fg

interesting. also, is the album art complete gibberish or actual math?

It is real math, but it is literally some entry level shit that the Mexican mother fucker thinks is deep and makes him look sophisticated. He posts this fucking album on Sup Forums all the time

Good ambient albums for waking up?

I used to fall alseep to music too often, and half-dreamed situations that sort of correlated to the music, not the lyrics, the music itself. It was weird shit

This

+1 for Deepchord. I love his album Sommer

>falling asleep to music
>treating music as anything other than an art that deserves your utmost attention

end yourself

Steve Roach is great.

I'd say Jefre Cantu-Ledesma - Love Is A Stream
and Kevin Drumm - Imperial Distortion
RAUM is nice too
