It's a 7/10 at best
You're a 7/10 at best
Wrong
It's a 4
/2000
out of 4
That's what I said when I fucked your mom
I Talk to the Wind and 21st Century Schizoid Man are flawless though
The last three tracks are pretty fucking pretentious
7/7 desu
Nice defense, cuck.
title track is a very accessible symphony, and ends in a brilliant way too, Moonchild might be pretentious
Yeah if anything is remotely pretentious its the 10 minutes of improv on moonchild.
Yeah
True yeah
STOP THIS "MOONCHILD IS BAD/PRETENTIOUS" MEME YOU FUCKERS!!!!!
MOONCHILD IS THE BEST TRACK ON THIS SHIT
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>free improvisation
>pretentious
so it's pretentious when moonchild does it but not when 21st century schizoid man does it?
its the difference between controlled improvisation, like during most of Red, where notes are added in improv moments but they all feel considered, and improv that is purely to create abstract music art without care for melody. It's interesting in art, but not interesting in rock.
Agreed famalam
Lmao i wish i was a 7/10
also pretentious doesnt mean bad you angry children
This is a solid 8.5-9/10 don't be contrarian just because it gives you a boner
oh lord, a meme is beginning.
>newfag think they know shit
HE DABBIN !!!
and while OP thinks hes memed us all, it's actually creating interesting discussions about the album
best to worst
Epitaph > 21 > Court > Moon > Wind
(21 = Court > Epitaph) >> ( Wind > Moon )
objectively correct
Meta meme,
This has been done many times on Sup Forums, partly because a few years ago it was clear that allot of modern prog-rock was just variations of this album.
OP here: I was being serious.
Starless and Bible Black > Larks' Tongues In Aspic > Lizard > Islands > ITCOTCK
ITCOTCK > Red = Larks > Discipline >>>>> the other ones I dont typically come back to (Poseidon, Lizard, Islands, Starless, Power to Believe)
The Great Deceiver >>>> everything else they've ever done
21 = Courty > Moon > Wind > Epitaph
>Comparing live albums to studio albums
I just copped that album a week ago
>mfw almost 5 hours of Starless/Red KC
Wow. Good one.
it's a great album but it would be infinitely less popular on Sup Forums if it weren't for kanye
Red>>>>ITCOTCK
Prog rock albums go like this
1: Tales from the topograhpic oceans
2: In the court of the crimson king
3: close to the edge
4: roll the bones
5: animals
I wouldn't put any of those in my personal top 30.
Do you even like progrock?
try again
You're probably memeing or whatever, but honestly Days of future passed by The Moody Blues is better
keyword "personal" lol
Post-Denny Line Moody Blues is garbage.
I meant Laine fricking mobile.
Yes. Do you?
Not saying any of these are bad, but there are so many better albums the genre has to offer, including multiple ones by King Crimson and Pink Floyd alone.
DELETE THIS
Yeah, you're right. The chances of your dissenting opinion being right were slim, but the argument you made was compelling enough to break down the 45+ year narrative surrounding this album. It is, indeed, a 7/10 at best.
Schizoid Man - 9/10
Wind - 7/10
Epitaph - 10/10
Moonchild - 9/10
Court - 8/10 (7-minute version they are playing live now is 10/10 tho)
i hate the moonchild is shit meme,
fucking brilliant album, epitaph is stunning.
for prog rock Emile Jacotey by Ange is the fucking bomb
>I don't agree so its a meme
Red > ITCOTCK = Larks' > Discipline
