Can anyone recommend a solid VPN?

Mullvad, top tier
IVPN, top tier
PIA, top tier except US based. Court docs show they don't log
Cryptostorm is something to research
Anything else is probably a scam

Would you recommend IVPN over Mullvad for a newfag?

DigitalOcean + Streisand.
Anything else is a joke.

how's nordvpn?

Privacy/logging is not guaranteed in their policy.

good for steaming but not if you need privacy

IVPN seems like a good bet. They have a promise to relocate if the laws change in Gibraltar, and the encryption process can't be routed if seized. I need IP masking and access outside of my ISP, so nothing illegal in my country.

Airvpn
Perfect Privacy

Private Internet Access lad

They're both good. I went with mullvad because it's cheaper. with IVPN, less people use it so the IPs are probably cleaner and not blacklisted as much by websites.
If money is no concern, IVPN. Cost a few bucks more but the less users of it makes it worth it. I'm going with them next time

Also look at that one privacy guys website

mullvad works well, takes a while switching countries though.

windscribe

I've been using that, and the speed sucks.

IVPN is banned from iPlayer and got only one server and charges 15 fucking dollars. if you want bbc all the time without ban use expressvpn and buy it monthly. mullavad is banned so is pia lol losers.

Hey guys Linus for Linus Tech Tips here,

I'm hear today to tell you about Tunnel Bear. A VPN app that makes it easy to browse privately. With TunnelBear turned On, your WiFi connection is secured and your online activity is kept private from your internet provider, advertisers, hackers and anyone looking to track you or profit from your data...

IPVanish?

I torrent 20 MB/s over Perfect Privacy, so use that.

prgmr in the us, hetzner in europe

>cash

wtf?

Mullvad was slow as shit for me i don´t know why sadly.

I've used PIA before and it always slowed down my internet speed significantly so if you want to Max out your bandwidth stay away from them.

you mail them cash in an envelope with your account number literally only way to be legit user with a paid vpn

1. Buy Bitcoin
2. Exchange Bitcoin for Monero
3. Exchange Monero for Bitcoin
4. Buy VPN with clean Bitcoins with no proof of ownership.

Is ExpressVPN a safe choice? It seems like they only measure activity, rather than collect information or logs, plus they offer pretty good encryption. I need something with a lot of location choices, good bandwidth and privacy.

Is it a good idea to have no proof of ownership?

If you want 100% privacy it is.

I'll use another VPN to download and purchase, and I'll use another card to purchase, since I don't plan on accessing any illegal content. I just need A-tier masking and privacy while browsing, posting and downloading to a secondary device.

I understand i just buy the vpn with my Credit card because i dont watch or enjoy child porn like the rest of the guys on Sup Forums.

All Linus memes aside, is TunnelBear actually any good?

TunnelBear is a hot steaming pile of shit like the rest of the things Linus touch.

"ExpressVPN uses AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) with 256-bit keys — also known as AES-256. It's the same encryption standard adopted by the U.S. government and used by security experts worldwide to protect classified information." (from the website)

I agree, pedophiles should be castrated.

What should i use to host my own VPN server?

I think Mullvad is good for that, but I hear the hoping is very slow.

>Cryptostorm is something to research
I've ried it for a few months and while the speeds are okay, not great; the service and the tools are really well made.

If you get a 30% coupon like I did you'll not think about other VPNs.

Is the built in VPN for opera any good

cyberghost vpn
what i use :/

It has better Logs/Legal stats that Express VPN from what I've read.

openvpn client and play around with servers on vpngate.
Unironically the best option unless you want to download some shitty implementation of a client they've cobbled badly together that looks pretty to normies and uses 99% of your resources.

don't you guys heard od psudo service and throw away credit card number from privacy.com?

astrill vpn.

ExpressVPN got like 5 entry point in UK alone and they got servers all over the world. Not so great on speed though, my 1gig cable slows down to 200mbits

Is protonVPN ok?

VPN.ac. Top-notch for getting around censorship, settings out the wazoo, plenty of servers, double-hop connections, alternate website for where the main one is blocked, and relatively cheap.

Try VirtualShield, thank me later.

>We're currently only available in the US

Any reliable VPN's that are free? Or is paying for a VPN an absolute must?

Any way of circumventing this?

see what I said here

I'm going with IPVanish.

>not running your own vps

I just signed up for NordVPN.

nordvpn.com/privacy-policy/

Why do you say they are not guaranteeing no logging. It looks pretty clear here. Panana also doesn't have any laws that would force them to log, and they are not part of the 5 or 14 eyes countries that could force them to give up a customer.

Seriously if there is some proof they gave up a customer or log I'd like to know as I'm using them.

Why do you say that?

Because I want reliable hopping and I don't do anything illegal.

I use IPVanishVPN and i love it

No

torguard

how much speed loss would you say should be expected when u have a 1gbit cable? what connection protocol is that on as well?

i havent had that experience

I paid for their 3-year deal for $99 and then cancelled their service for a refund the next day requiring exactly 2 emails from me explicitly telling them to do so.

That one day of service was spent testing a multitude of their servers, half of them in the U.S. (where I am based) and half of them in other countries; this included testing their differently designated servers including testing those designated for P2P while using various P2P applications.

In the end, I never found a single server that I found to be satisfactory, and would rate them to be on the same level of SigaVPN (which is free). Currently I'm using PIA which can actually handle my bandwidth.

I'm not saying you should get PIA instead; I'm just saying it works for me. If all you want to do is split-tunneling exclusively for P2P, then I'd recommend SigaVPN via OpenVPN instead of any paid VPN.

im pretty sure he said he uses IVPN too

or just use localbitcoin to buy

I can get at least 15-20MB/s when torrenting, in Toronto.
