Is there any genre of music that you genuinely hate?
Not one that you disregard or just think is lame/pleb, but one that you can't stand to the point where you will take extreme measures to avoid even hearing it.
For me it's pop-country. I can even tolerate some top 40 pop music (Its always on the radio at work and I just tune it out) but I can say with full confidence that I hate country music.
Asher Bennett
fuck you OBND is a great album
Oliver Lee
most music that gets that plastic sheen pop production i can't stand, i can just place that arrangement from a mile away and the whole thing sounds horribly cringey. the genre itself stops mattering, it's literally just the production technique.
Chase Taylor
???
Jaxon Edwards
also me but like ridiculously pretty-prestine indie pop with super quirky attitudes and incredibly clean production i also just find too unbearably saccharine.
Mason Jackson
this
also any top 40 song that is produced to sound "hipster" or "indie" Of Monsters and Men, Mumford, Lumineers, etc.
Austin Torres

Kevin Moore

Kizomba
Always those shitty 4/4 beats. Always that shitty casio sound. Always those shitty lyrics about: "I'm very horny, i want to fuck", "I love you", "You cheated on me, i hate you".
Elijah Morgan
pop, indie, art rock, metal, punk, ambient, all rap except kanye and DOOM, IDM, drone, "electronic", post-rock
Levi Adams
My vote for the genre that I don't necessarily hate the most but that will go great lengths in order to avoid it is Salsa.
I despise the sound of that repetitive piece of shit genre. Where I live that shit gets bombarded to everyone, and while I don't actually hate it the most, is the one that I can't stand.
Pop-"punk" though... The music is barely bearable, but the concept, the bands, the aesthetics, the fans, the lyrics, the cookie-cutter formulas, the production. There's literally not a single redeeming quality about that shit.
Pop punk was the 1st genre I ever truly hated. My friends used to blast that shit when I was 14-15 y/o, and I thought I'd like it (since there were guitars and usually catchy tunes involved, which was fine for me at the time). Blink-182 starts playing, then Sum 41, All American Rejects, and so on. I hated that shit since.
Easton Rodriguez
Pop punk. What the fuck is the purpose? Is it trying to be contrarian? Is it trying to appeal to a mainstream audience?
It's just pop music for a crowd who thinks they're cool.
Ethan Wright
Not a genre, but a group. Blood on the Dance Floor. Honestly, what the fuck is that shit
Gabriel Ramirez
all facts
Benjamin Wright
modern pop punk, pop country, current pop music, current hip hop music, and thats it, but thats not to say i HATE every song in these genres, there are obviously a few i like
Jeremiah Barnes

Jayden Ross
skrillex isn't dubstep boyo
Kayden Rogers
Pop music in general. The older I get the more I can't stand top 40 radio. Sometimes the bunch of songs will be tolerable, sometimes, like right now, its insufferable. Just utter shit.
At the same time, latin music, or anything with congas in it really. For whatever reason, congas give me a horrible feeling, like ASMR but worse. I can't stand latin jazz even though I love jazz, and congas ruin bands like the Rolling Stones for me. Ironically, I'm a drummer myself, and I don't mind playing percussion that sounds like that, but I can't listen to it at all.
James Butler
metal. the whole thing. cant stand the awful guitars, screaming like a goat, edgy lyrics. i dont even wanna give it a chance.

Honestly anything pop-punk/emo sets my teeth on edge too but I can handle a few good pop songs here and there, but that whiny screaming shit is irredeemable.
Lincoln Wilson
