Damn user, get a Q9650 for that and a card, core 2 has legs if it's 4C 3GHz

it is a thinkpad x200s yo

Oh wait i'm an idiot, thought it was a thinkcentre.

That thing is alright then, I still use a Latitude E6400 with a T9550 2.66 as my portable with the GMA 4500MHD

yea, these things still run ok for web and such

comfy machine user

I just bought an 8TB HDD and am making temporary backups so I can start making a few RAID 1 setups. Have to
>Copy all my movies from it's 4TB home to the new 8TB
>wipe the primary and secondary 4TB drives and setup a Windows mirror array
>Copy all the data back FROM the 8TB to the 4TB RAID 1
>Use Windows backup tool to make an official backup BACK to the 8TB
>Do this all again for my 2x2TB setup of anime/TV series and my 2x1TB setup of pictures and music.

Kill me.

Thank you, I'm proud of it!

What should I upgrade?

good luck user!
maybe get a new mobo+cpu combo? rest looks really overpowered

CPU. Which in turn would mean new motherboard. Why 64GB of RAM for a PC that only has a 4c8t CPU?

i honestly have no idea why is everything so hot

Another monitor.

>That old ass hexacore is nearly as fast as an FX8350 with only 2.67GHz
Temps look fine to me user, nice X58 system, too.

thanks

Might get a Zen 2 or 3, don't really need an upgrade right now but definitely going AMD next time around.
Nah, I came from a triple U2711 setup to this and I really don't miss it. Ultrawide makes up for it more than enough.

the core parts are now 10 years old, but i still see no need to upgrade...

>Glorious 4:3 and 16:10 screens
>Based FX8320 that won't backdoor your ass
>Asus board with good VRMs for a 970
That's a good system desu.

No, C2 doesn't have legs anymore, with OC it barely matches a 2012 Core i3 (4x the consumption).

Just know when its time to switch, even a low end processor is faster and more efficient. C2 also lacks any modern standards, including SATA3.
Yes, as a backup/browsing machine its OK, but I would not switch processors and overclock, unless you want a retro gaming rig.
I know that feel. Transferring my movies took me 5 hours, transferring 1.2 TB of data from my 2.5" to a new 5 TB 2.5" could take even longer. But I have 16.5 TB total then.
Looks decent, maybe get more SSD and switch to a Zen 2700X. Your RAM looks really fine but that CPU will hold you back.

WTF, I guess it consumes 200 W, but its from 2010 or something. Still almost matches a stock 1600.
FX is pure shit. Get a 1600 or better 2600 instead.

Attached: 1700.jpg (611x606, 69K)

FX is pretty shit especially if your board doesn't support one core per CU mode, but I still recommend people get cheap 970 boards with an 8350 because it is better than buying an Optiplex for gaming.

Not really, the 2200G is here and anyone can afford it. It even has a GPU that handles basic gaming.

>Me Gusta
>Pirated CS 1.6
Seems about right.

Considering it's now at about 1.48v due to degradation, using the f*V^2*c=P equation it's closer to 230-250W.

I don't like you

Hello CIA.

>implying I care

These Seagates will be the end of me, but 2.5" 2TB SSDs aren't appealing enough at SATA 3 speeds yet.

I know that feel, I have a 1 TB EVO also and wish a 2 TB one, but affordable 960s with 2 TB dont exist and I wont waste 1000 € for a 960 PRO I use to store games I never play.
