Thoughts on waterfox...

thoughts on waterfox? im using seamonkey but addons compatibility is being an ass recently so I really want to avoid firefox quantum.

It's shit.

It's feculence.

It is shit tier. Use IceDragon or Firefox Nightly. There is absolutely no reason to avoid Quantum.

Used this pretty long, but Firefox ESR is much better if you will customize it. Waterfox is kinda slow and outdated with some things.
>inb4 use palememe
No

Also this.

less secure than FireFox, tho

It's good because it has Mozilla's bullshit disabled by default (pocket, telemetry and other things) and because it has XUL add-on support. The bad thing is that is maintained by only one person and I'm not sure if it will make it when FF ESR stops having XUL support

>There is absolutely no reason to avoid Quantum.
Are you sure?

if you want to avoid quantum check out basilisk

The best alternative to Firefox quantam desu.

It's the only good browser left.

any non-quantum is doomed.
Firefox will be too different at some point to justify a fork from such a old base.

pretty fucking good, all the legacy addons work, it does it's job.

Why do you guys use many different alternative web browsers?

It's basically Firefox ESR, but better logo. Would recommend.

It's really nice, I wanted the new addons and developer tools though

mozilla has been shipping 64 bit builds for ages, and the only thing otherwise you get is iirc extensions from old versions of firefox

retard

New addons will be usable on Waterfox soon.

they are fucking autists.
i use waterfox because i need certain addons to work. that's it. there is no other reason.

use whatever you like and don't ever listen any of these faggots.

>There is absolutely no reason to avoid Quantum.
Yes, there is actually. See this? It fucking works like a clock.

I recommend you to make a local backup of your legacy add-ons since Mozilla is planning to remove them from their servers. Also you should edit the userChrome.css file instead of using CTR, that way you'll have one less add-on bloating your browser.

I use SeaMonkey, just convert the addons that you need. Or maybe the addons you use are shit.

It’s the only web browser I use.

>using a Mozilla product and supporting their political crusade
No thanks, retard, I’ll pass.

Can waterfox use Java and Flash? I still enjoy playing old games from places like Miniclip and Firefox ESR will only allow it for so long.

>supporting Mozilla’s SJW crusade by using their products
Fuck off commie scum

>using Google and supporting their data collection + sale
>using Safari and supporting Apple, period
>using Brave and supporting a mentally ill Asian
>using Opera and being 90 years old
>using Microsoft Edge and using Windows
>using Pale Moon and supporting a literal furry
>using Waterfox and losing your add-on support
Best course of action is to either use Chromium or Firefox.

I was thinking of editing .css but finally decided to keep CTR for some reason. Backups are mandatory. Waterfox is sucking up memory only when started but after that is running just fine.
I don't care as long as it's customizable. Would you buy a car with factory welded trunk door? I would use NSA proprietary malware infected keylogging browser with mic and can 24/7 on only if it's open for tweaking.

Well if you legitimately don't care about anything other than customization, use Vivaldi.

i use waterfox. I like it. Fuck mozilla

out of curiosity what does your firefox look like

simple and condensed. sort of

Attached: Screenshot_20180318_022618.png (1920x1080, 165K)

>customization, use Vivaldi.
are you brain-dead

>customizable
>they explicitly go out of their way to control what you see on the internet
Shut the fuck up retard, you’re the type of person who actually prefers to jailbreak a shitty iPhone instead of just using android

>not using the compact dark theme
That's why I told you about editing the .css file instead of using CTR. You can use themes that way.

this is literally what quantum looks like, you don't need most of your legacy addons and the rest and be duplicated using newer ones or userChrome.css

>you don't need most of your legacy addons
yes i do

>browser literally made for customization
Nope.

>chromium-based browser
>made for customization
Pick one

But user, it says it on the tin. Fully customisable browser, flexible and fast. Surely that's enough for someone who would use a NSA proprietary malware infected keylogging browser with mic and cam 24/7.

Is there a way to remove fat tabs and that ugly top left space?

Attached: firefox-quantum.jpg (1536x951, 139K)

By using fullscreen like in your other screenshot.

window:not([sizemode="maximized"]) > #titlebar {
margin-bottom: -31px!important;
}

#TabsToolbar .titlebar-placeholder[type="pre-tabs"] {
display: none !important;
}

.tabbrowser-tab:not([visuallyselected="true"]) {
max-width:20px!important;
min-width:0px!important;
}

.tabbrowser-tab:hover {
max-width:200px !important;
min-width:200px !important;
}

.tabbrowser-tab[visuallyselected="true"] {
max-width:200px !important;
min-width:200px !important;
}

For some reasons vimperator didn't work for me on Waterfox so i still stick with ESR 52

cute

my bad, brainwashed

>implying I use Chromium or Vivaldi
>being this much of a knee-jerk reactionary

ESR 52 is still acceptable to use. ESR 60 won’t be

didn't found a way to import my bookmark toolbar and passwords from firefox

Waterfox is best fox
fist to have 64-bit version

I like auto hide tree tabs, it gives me more vertical space.

Fuck mozilla. Waterfox all the way.

Where us the CSS file so I can do this?

in wasterfox chrome folder
make backup before

If you want privacy then use iridium or non-googled chromium (has a new maintainer). If you want the old addons then icecat/palemoon

GNU Icecat

That gnucrap is pain in the ass to install and update

Obviously if he doesn't want Quantum/webex, he's not looking to switch to Chrome.

It works fine as a replacement. I can actually let my browser update again after years of having to dread every patch. It's really nice

>Miniclip

Holy shit they still exist? We used to visit this in the PC lab back at high school all the time, i miss the mid-2000's

This is the price of freedom user.
