Best chair ~$100?

I currently have a 3 year old AmazonBasics chair, but it's falling apart. What's the best chair around $100 to replace it with?

it looks uncomfortable

my current chair was comfortable when i got it but has gotten less so. i dunno if it's the chair reaching the end of its life or my weight loss/smaller ass

Get one of these.

>i dunno if it's the chair reaching the end of its life or my weight loss/smaller ass
A combination of both.

Those ergonomic pillows are the worst shit ever. The raised sides on the chair are also super uncomfortable for anyone who likes to sit with their legs open.

Not him, is Ikea markus' back strong enough for a fat/g/uy? It looks fragile from screenshots.

You should lose weight.

This chair lasted for a little over 5 years until the fake leather on the arms started peeling. But everything else lasted and it's comfortable as fuck, so I went and just bought another one a few weeks ago.

What's the best chair for someone thats pretty tall? I'm 6'3 so no chairs ever seem tall enough for me to sit in properly

Chairs are long-term investments and won't get obsolete. Consider spending >$500 if that's what you're going to spend most of your day on.

Is this a good chair?

I bought the leather markus few months ago, its not a soft chair but its still comfortable. Cant go wrong with real leather and 10 year warranty.

you have to be over 18 to post here

can you lean back in it without falling through the back of that chair?

What's a good chair around the same prince that you can buy in europe?

This. Malkolm > Memekus.

No-one mention the superior Aeron?

Paying $900 for a computer chair.
They are sexy, but the wage-slave lifestyle can't allow it.

Honestly found new ones(but the older models) for $400 looking on the internet.
Try shit like Craigslist. I found mine on an eBay equivalent in South Africa.
Though still couldn't afford it lol

I honestly use a gaymen-chair (I don't play vidya) just because I'm 6'4" and ~225 pounds. It's really the only chair that I feel comfy in, sadly. Thanks /fit/

I found a local listing for 2 aerons for $220. Wish me luck I'm probably gonna get mugged.

Those are good.

I'm fairly fat, 189cm/110kg, and I've had one for years with no issues.

Know any good seat cushions? I bought a desk chair for $15 off Craigslist but the arms are starting to peel and its kinda firm on the back.

Lel... God speed.

Why don't you just cut some new vinyl for the armrests?

>$15 chair
Enjoy your backpains

Same. I'm 6' 2" 215lbs and gayming chairs are the only thing I've found to be even remotely comfortable. I went with one by Noble Chairs because it was the least gaymy of the gayming chairs. Icon series, if anyone is interested.

I don't wanna take the diy approach. Besides like said, I need some support for my back.

The back thing is a different issue, but the arms are easily and cheaply fixed. There's no reason not to do it yourself.

Don't buy anything with that fake leather shit. Eventually your bucci will tear a hole in it.

Lose some weight you fat fucks

look up the boots theory of socioeconomic unfairness and don't support companies that profit from cheap, shoddy worksmanship.

buttmad manlet detected

A chair without a head rest can fuck right off.

Hello teenbro

IKEA Markus is extremely comfortable and ergonomic in its price range. I could sit on it for 12+ hours sessions and never have any aching issues.

Bruh, I'm actually ripped. Stay mad dyel manlet
I feel you, they just make you seem like a fucking manchild. Looked yours up, solid choice.

Does it have neck and/or head support? My fat head can't keep itself up for those extra long fap/hentai/porn sessions

>no head rest
Trash.

Post body and 1RMs pls

Can you read the fucking thread or type "Ikea Markus" into image search?

>189cm/110kg
You're not fat. You are just tall.
Though the specification indeed says that it could hold 130/150 kg person (forgot which one). But since the feet are wheels, I'm just afraid it'll crack quickly.

This looks comfy.

I know my sitting posture/setup is shit for some reason, but I don't know why. I can't tell if it's because my chair is bad (Ikea Malkolm) or my desk sucks (Ikea Malm), or my screen/keyboard is position badly.

Please help.

110 is on the borderline between overweight and obese, I'm pretty fat. Zero issues with the base on mine.

ye not enough info to help you nigga, show posture/setup n shit

Herman Miller Aeron or the Steel Case Gesture are probably the best office chairs ever
Embody is overpriced and underperforming
don't know about the rest of the Steelcase lineup

>manspreading at your desk
disgusting

Okay, Vimes.

I literally buy 10-30 dollar chairs on craigslist that sold for ten times that new.

don't pay for new chairs.

>buying chairs somebody farted in for 2 years before selling it on craigslist

Markus on Craigslist

You ever see the dust that comes out of these things? Disgusting. It's literally shit particles.

you know you breathe that shit daily, right?

Ikea Markus owner of 3 years here. Vinyl is peeling on the top of the headrest. And I need a new actuator thingy. My chair no longer will go up. How do I obtain one?

Yes, it's quite sturdy actually

memerkus

My own, but everyone likes their OWN brand.

When will this meme end? That chair sucks. It's fairly solid, but it's far from comfortable for any length of time.

Do not listen to the retards telling you to get some Swedish shit chair from Ikea. Get a Herman Miller. If you're not spending top dollar for a chair, you might as well just stand because you're taking years off your life sitting in a shitty chair.

and your posture

the malm desk is a weird ass height for average size people's chair heights. best bet is to get a foot rest and adjust the chair higher

>sciatica.jpg

>$800 for a chair
I'd rather buy a 1080Ti.

sitting in chairs ruins your posture
sit on the floor

That's a little harder to capture. I will say that a lot of the time I end up trying to cross my legs. Something about this height mix is super weird.

Wait, so is it too high or too low?

The issue is that if the chair gets any higher, the arm rest stops being able to go under the table. which is sort of my usual sitting position (and allows my to rest my arms on the table to type).

Foot rest might help, actually. Can I just get a shoe box or something?

Please help

Make the chair lower, and tilt your monitor downside.
wa la

remove armrests since you dont use them

3 year old amazon basics chair

Attached: file.png (600x800, 787K)

That's an interesting idea.

Okay, now I don't know if I should go higher or lower.

Should I just try either one for a week and see which sucks less?

my friend uses markus and he weights like 140-160kg

This actually looks comfy. If I had an office or somewhere I could put it, like in a play room or something, I'd definitely get one.

You're the one who said it's not gonna fit if you increase the height more.
If it were me, I'm gonna adjust the height so that my arm+armrests fit under the table. Then adjust the monitor to my new line of sight. If the new chair adjustment makes the monitor too high to be on my line of sight, then removes the book from under it.

> if the chair gets any higher, the arm rest stops being able to go under the table

you ran into the problem i was describing. this is the problem with the malm and why i just took the arms off my chair

oh also raise your monitor a bit, don't tilt it toward you. you are probably bending your neck down and/or compensating with arching back

Since when is Sup Forums age restricted you tard?

Attached: aExBKWn_700b.jpg (700x388, 43K)

Okay, I guess I'll go with raise chair + raise monitor + remote arm rest and see how it goes.

Thanks lads.

Turns out I can't take the arms off my chair. The arms are what connect to the seat to the back.

sorry my friend, i used to love the malms just beause they were simple big steady slabs. dunno if they changed them with the redesign but i've almost sold it at least 5 times since getting it a year and a half ago

forgot this: you could try an under desk mounted keyboard/mouse thing. but i'm not exactly a huge fan of that personally
