If you had an idea for a great new social network app that would change the game and definitely be successful.....
What would your first steps be. Patent it?
Who would you take it to first?
Google? Facebook? Space X?
Someone else i'm missing?

That's not how the world works. No one cares about your idea.

I would submit an RFC to the IETF so that it can be published as an open standard.

>What would your first steps be. Patent it?
Open Source it

>Who would you take it to first?
Whomever is first to offer $1 bil for it.

im serious here. I actually have two completely novelty ideas. They are literally the end games to all social networks. The one to rule them all.

Ive been sitting on the ideas for three years no one has even come close to making something like these yet.
Its time to take action i cant wait any longer

Ideas are worthless, stop that.

wouldnt i want to patent it though so some asshole cant completely copy the idea and make their own version of the app? and or steal my idea

any yes i would want to make it open source, just like facebook and all the huge great networks.
I just want to make sure i have 50 percent of all ownership, the other 50 will go to whomever funds the creation and continuation of it.

Centralized, proprietary social networks are bad, full stop. The end-goal is to have a decentralized network founded on open standards, not the next Facebook.

i mean anyone would be able to to use for free, isnt that way to make the real money?

Well any ideas on who you would personally go to with your idea first?

Do you have the necessary resources to make something like that happen? For starters, I guess you'd need an incredibly strong marketing team.

You don't seem to understand what it means to be decentralized and standards-based.

Please explain friend

First of all, are you sure this is an actually revolutionary/novel/good idea? Are you sure it will be successful? Or is this all in your head.
Second of all, just make an mobile app for it, and then the big guys will offer to buy it if it truly is good.
Why would you need to patent it anyways.
I think you're just a faggot who thinks decentralized, or censorship free are good attributes of a social platform.
No, if the normies don't care, then it's not good.

I am incredibly talented at being original, standing out. Knowing how to attract others in whatever it is i am doing. I have plenty of ideas. But as i said above the other 50% of ownership will go to the person who funds it. And anyone i go to with it will know that it will be successful no matter what because everyone is going to want to have it on their phones. In short it sells itself. Thats what makes it great. It is completely original and a necessity for the final step of social networking.

not him but if you dont know what decentralized social network means, yours is going to rise and then fail just like facebook, myspace, etc. And, if your social site needs phone number/email for your user to register, same thing will happen..
>well you guys love to complains aint cha? how bout u come up with solutions then?
isnt that your job tho?

I have an idea for an app that I'll just go ahead and give away
So in a few years, the "smartphone addiction needs to be abolished" trend will happen. My idea is for people who want to try to quit
It's like a messaging service, but it takes days to send and receive messages from your contacts. Like how it takes a few days for mail correspondence to happen. Or, hell, maybe you can even add a service that will print out a letter and mail it to a friend so you can start some mail correspondence and try to avoid phone messaging.
Might sound silly but I bet this idea will take off. Just too lazy to try

the perfect social network:
>decentralized/distributed
>no phone number/email registration, but still require human verification
>end-to-end encryption

and i think that's all isn't it?

this app is nothing you can imagine, because once again its never been done in any form.
it will be nothing like the other social networking apps.

but what would be a way to register people the smart way or more efficient way?

only nerds use this
fuck off retard

You're giving out a lot of red flags, this is what all "MUH IDEA" guys always say.

OP here, thats a pretty terrible idea. i got anxiety just reading about having to wait longer for messages from friends and people.
People do want to know whats going on the world in a quicker rate, otherwise it is wasted time.

OP here, well its the nerds making the money and using most of the best new tech and apps, so if this is what they need its something i definitely would like to add to my app idea.

They do now, yeah. But eventually people will get sick of it. App makers are barely starting to get called out for making apps that they know are addictive. You push yourself to break your addiction and you'll be better for it

Pitch it to a big company so they can reject you, then turn around and steal your idea

I just want to secure my idea and money, and not get cuckerberged, for the masses it will free.
Is it so bad to not want to make and keep the money for coming up with an idea no human before you has come up with in the history of the human race.
My whole life i have worked for dumber people than me, Taking orders from fucking CEOS, bosses, all over working over achieving retards who think they are somehow special or have made it. There is nothing special about them, there is nothing original about them, they havent contributed to the human race or novelty or creation. Creation that power only gods have.

As long as its an extra and normies don't have to know about it.
Seriously, it's all about normies, if they don't care, then your app is dead.

You should watch the McDonald's movie about Ray Kroc with Michael Keaton in it, that shit's on Netflix still I think.
"The Founder"

Seriously, you'll learn some hard truths about business from that film

Attached: thefounder.jpg (512x288, 40K)

back in the day, normies dont care about programming.. today, normies took CS as last resort

JUST.

Lol that movie sucked go kill yourself

I know i DLd it a couple months ago.
Thats why im going to go to someone whom is already a billionaire.
Ill let them throw their name on the creation as long as they fund it and i get the 50% royalties.

I like that Idea, but idk... I think I'd prefer to just write a letter, since the person receiving it would't need to have an app installed to read it.

What sucked about it, otherwise I'll watch it.

>what would be a way to register people the smart/efficient way?
email and phone numbers are only use to verify that the user registering is a human and not a bot that will fetch data from your site.. for now, captcha is the only way to verify a human.. but Sup Forums said google uses captcha to teach their AI to learn from an image context.. so.. idk if there's any better way for now.. sorry OP idk..

After you patent it, you still have the huge issue of marketing.

OP here im thinking fingerprint verification would be best option then

I just felt like they made Ray Kroc look like a charlatan
Like, who's the good guy?

>Ill let them throw their name on the creation as long as they fund it and i get the 50% royalties.

That's not how it works.

>muh 50%

You'd be lucky to walk away with 25%. Any tech startup has to pretty much sell it's soul to get a chance at VC funding.

Not if im using the kingpins of the industry my friend. In Example Google, SpaceX, SIlicon tits i mean valley. My commercial would be cosmic as fuck, using audio technologies that make the senses tingle. inducing outerbody experience like symptoms, waking up the astral body of person watching commercial. Lol i really can but seriously. By going to the Powerhouses marketing isnt an issue.

Im going to have to go to someone very honest and very rich.

Also what is VC funding?

But you don't write letters because it's an awkward process. Simplify it, use that as your main way to communicate with people outside your core group, and you (and everybody else in the room) might stop checking your phone every time you hear any sound reminiscent of a Facebook pop

I don't think that's viable, not everyone has a device with a fingerprint scanner. Even then, I don't think that this would solve anything.

then only people with fingerprint scanner can join your site. If everyone do have fingerscanner, not everyone will use it cause some will afraid to put their fingerprint on your site even tho you state that you wont store their fingerprints on the db. Plus, why there are still no social network that uses fingerprint/biometric as a way to authenticate a human?
this, owning 51% of your company does not mean it is your company..

That actually makes sense, thanks.

What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which one can say, “Look! This is something new”? It was here already, long ago; it was here before our time.
Ecclesiastes 1:9-10

Attached: anima_christi.jpg (1315x976, 183K)

OP is this you? please tell me you are not baiting..

honestly if i gave away more about the app, you would notice that there is nothing to log anyhow, so normal verificiation wouldn't track any habits of any kind, because once again its not that kind of social network device. its nothing like the others.

`photo shop a cell device into jesus hands and ill believe you then

im not , this is why i came to you cis shitlords for biz advice and becuz yall my tech niggas. and tech niggas opinions matter. If i dont get this app running its gona look like just runescape for rest of my life senpai. jk ill keep playing runescape classic til death no matter how rich i get.

Attached: repent.jpg (960x1280, 302K)

>there is nothing to log anyhow, so normal verificiation wouldn't track any habits of any kind
I don't get what this has to do with what I said but there's no way this is true.

if only i could tell you more

As long as people make requests to your server, there will be things to log/track. You might not have a reason to track your users, but no big company would agree with that.

Ok Sup Forums you still havent answered my question...
What would your first steps be. Patent it?
Who would you take it to first?
Google? Facebook? Space X?
Someone else i'm missing?

Attached: 1472697691286.png (623x815, 504K)

There are no good guys in business, bitch nigga

You and my crazy uncle, sure.

You're asking in the wrong place.

lmao i will come back to Sup Forums when its successful

wake up son!
It's time for school

>If you had an idea for a great new social network app that would change the game and definitely be successful.....
>What would your first steps be
DESIGN A LOGO

already have

why would you take your baby to anyone?

well thats why im asking what would you do?
Number one is because i need someone to fund it, to pay the programmers , coders, graphic designers, marketing

He doesn't have any skills or money, so he wants these companies to do all the job for him while he earns money for being original or something.

Watch that Founder movie and go take a course at the community college on business, you clueless nigger

ayy lmaoo.
you think a community college on biz, is going to inform me on exactly what kind of binding contracts i need for this level of money. doubt it niggity noggiter

Well then, since you were obviously born a true business titan, you don't shit, just go put up an ad in Business Insider and surely the other business titans will recognize one of their own and drive a dumptruck full of money to your parent's basement for you

lmao im already successful.
I came from nothing, went straight to work out of highschool.
Have a 2,100 sq foot house and 2 acres in a beatiful utopian american historic town in the richest state in the US.
I am a Wine specialist, age 28 married and my wife is the breadwinner. And i work two minutes from my house.
Now that i accomplished all these things through the use of mental alchemy being born a mystic, the only thing i need to do left to make this perfect existence and reality that i have created even more perfect is to secure a nice retirement and this app would do that for me. hardly a basement dweller

>wait for confirmation of your next shifts
>roster doesnt come to you for a week
>your shifts were given away and you get fired

again, it's not for those kinds of interactions
it's to help people who are making a conscious effort to work on their phone addiction
