Why don't click bait sites deliver? They make the promise of righteous goods but rarely have that much to show. I am all about clicking through ads to see some nice boobies. Rarely do the pics promise deliver though. Why is that? Don't click bait sites want return traffic?

>click bait
That's what click bait is. It's an image or title that doesn't represent the content, but is enticing to the viewer.

Im fucking thinking about going on television or web PSA to tell my fucking cuntrymen about clickbait
Its annoying seeing my dad or my granddad posting fake shit and i have to correct them

It's pajeet tier business model
Promise everything, deliver nothing

Yah I guess that's probably it. I would think enticing people to not be disappointed would be part of the business plan. I guess that is more on the corporate end of the spectrum though. Mainstream seems to be moving into that realm of click bait style. Heck half their ads already are.

Because nobody sane would sit through ads for boob pics. You can just look them up directly. Clickbait sites aren't interested in meager ad revenue, they just want that one click.

i never clicked on that shit and i don't see the incentive. why should i, having the whole world of hardcore pornography at my disposal? i have to wonder what kind of people fall for that retarded crap

So they only get paid for the initial click? That would make more sense then. I thought they would get revenue somehow from page views too.

Typically they pay for the initial click, but the site you end up visiting has enough ads that they still make a profit off the page view despite paying for that initial click.

Who gets paid when a Sup Forums user clicks on one of these ads? Sup Forums? The click bait site? Who is paying who?

Ah I see. So is this a good business to get into for easy money?

I'm in the business dudes. Google Adsense and others won't put their ads on your site if the content is PG-13 or lewder. Essentially a bait and switch play.

>Sup Forums? The click bait site?
yes and yes. the ads on the clickbait site fund both.

Not really, you need massive volume to make any money. The difference between the cost of the ad to get every click and the income from the ads on the landing page is a tiny fraction of a cent.

>Who gets paid when a Sup Forums user clicks on one of these ads?
the owner of the site where the ad was being displayed gets the first cut
the second cut belongs to the company serving the ad algorithms

the ad was paid for by the clickbait site
the clickbait site gets money by having contracts with 20 other sites that are each paying them to display an ad for 30 seconds, regardless of whether or not they are clicked (and if they are, that's worth significantly more, but they don't assume this is happening)

the money from those display ads are again going to the site where the ad is being displayed, and the ad company
they are paid for by the company wanting the product exposed, and often these companies really don't care about how the ads are being displayed, just that they ARE being displayed

then the ad department at product company gets paid based on a metric of how much exposure they showed, even if it didn't lead to the sale of any product

>a fraction of a cent has been deposited in your account
Sounds like pennies getting chopped up.

>why do people who tell lies don't tell the truth?
!?

>bait and switch to get past a rating system
That explains some of the dissatisfactory results.

basically yeah
but it's still low effort money for the taking, which matters a lot for poor countries

host a bunch of sites and maybe you'll make $50 per day, which would add up in the third world

Well that explains the poor grammar on these sites.

>be Hirosimoot
>buy Sup Forums for millions of dollars
>ad revenue is $50 a day

I don't mind Hiro filling up the website with malicious ads to filter out retards. But messing with anti adblock scripts is going too far.

Am I the only one who clicks on those ads in purpose? I'm always curious on how far the redirecting chain goes. I also use a fake email to register in those fake dating sites because I want to see what's behind the login page.

nice boobs..

>am all about clicking through ads to see some nice boobies.
exactly why clickbait exists and why it's on the increase, because virgins like you can't just scroll past a tit

>I feed data into the ad network on purpose
>click through 20 redirections
>they all drop a tracking cookie, fingerprint your browser and PC etc
>using fake email to register on fake sites
>he thinks his browser/machine fingerprint along with other data collected earlier doesn't allow him to be accurately identified
>all the data ad networks collect on you is then sold to the highest bidder

you guys are complete retards

Why are articles on sketchy websites divided up into a million pages?

Don't answer that, I know each page is full of advertisements.

As I said I click on them in purpose just to see how they work. The fake email thing is because those services always send spam to you.
I also do this in a VM just in case the sites contain any malware.

God bless someone who bought almost all dick enlarge clickbait for polotical ads in russia.
