Fucking Android is becoming another shit closed OS. You can't do a thing on it. You can't even get the damn list of running processes. Fucking garbage

>is becoming
?

It's already there but it's about to become complete aboslute trash. They just need to try and prevent rooting. ah fuck it, it's absolute trash. what do you we do? what alternative do we have?

Get this thing to work.

>what do you we do?
Use a phone as a phone and a computer as a computer like technology users always have before?

>caring about such a thing on a smartphone OS

Create your own autism OS if you want to run a server on your phone or whatever nonsense you're looking to do.

Better than iOS at least

>prevent rooting
Will not happen, Android uses ancient Linux kernels which are exploited using ancient vulnerables to get root.
In order to prevent rooting they would need to upgrade every device with the newest software.

delet this

>They just need to try and prevent rooting.
This sort of behavior can only be fixed with open hardware. If they decide to seriously go after this they will deploy chip level security that is functionally impossible to reverse engineer or disable. If you want to fix it start working on open hardware.

> You can't even get the damn list of running processes
Eh, what? Did you even root your phone?

you fucking moron

>what is Fuchsia

Android smartphones are pretty good computers overall. Just get fucking root and run "ps" or whatever else you want.

protip: run x86 VMs if you want that much control

I recommend snapdragon 820 or better though

why

>t. verizon shill

Because with x86 VMs you can do any fucking thing you want including running x86 win32 programs on a fucking phone.

Laptops on suicide watch.

>struggling to do the most basic task of using a drop-down menu
>just changing the poll speed of the monitor increases CPU usage some 50%
>can do anything you want

>t. Tyrone-Mobile cuck

>>struggling to do the most basic task of using a drop-down menu
What? Limbo x86 gives you a virtual mouse and keyboard which you can replace using an actual keyboard/mouse through usb/bluetooth

>>just changing the poll speed of the monitor increases CPU usage some 50%
That's because that webm was someone running an x86 vm on a $20 wallmart phone

>>can do anything you want
Yup

dead on arrival

the kernel was never the problem, the problem is the many layers on top of the kernel each layer adds portability and also lag

??

why not use built-in weather and explorer app

wtf

It's a Xiaomi Mi A1. It does not have this.

He's probably referring to the resource monitor and msconfig tools that exist on windows. Luckily you get that with a VM, nothing locked down.

I unironically miss Palm OS phones.
