What is the most satisfying type of cable to plug in?

what is the most satisfying type of cable to plug in?

patched in several lc-duplex fiber connectors to sfp's earlier; extremely satisfying click.

usb-c can be okay until they get worn in too.

I've always liked RJ-45 because of that click

Molex because of how hard it is

rj-45's are more satisfying the harder you have to reach

i fucking hate those things

that's why I love them, the hate makes me feel alive.

I miss SCSI t b h

Ethernet or whatever the iphone wire is

i use them at work ALL THE TIME. we call them amphenols though. one's that fit right are great. ive had plenty that don't.

Best feedback..

there is only one correct answer here

These are pretty good

BNC

Composite cables are nice.

Love 6.35mm TRS

infinitely more satisfying than a 3.5mm

PS/2 is the smoothest feeling connector, love it

Your mom

No

ex fibre tech reporting, used all sorts of connectors but SC-APC is the most comfy.

this

Yes

i've terminated SC-APC before. i feel like they're flimsy

Don't talk shit about my connectorfu faggot.

freshly made rj-45 being plugged in for the first time
people in the other room can hear it
always the best

Excellent question!
Ethernet can be nice but the too tight ones ruin it for all the rest. Data would be alright but the experience is always ruined by their placement. Errrm, display port?

Except it is impossible to plug in by touch.

>satistfying
get out, reddit
but in all things considered, scsi

Ethernet cables are good simple fun until the little shit tab breaks off.

SATA power connectors are probably my favorite. The data connector is just boring but the power connector gives a good click.

Not really, you just gently push it in and begin twisting while applying gentle force until it goes all the way in.

*sata

The only correct answer

6.35mm jack.

I like a nice new HDMI, when you can feel the metal grating

sony 3.5mm
aka
the headphone jack

>rj45
>every time you plug it in is one more fatigue cycle towards the inevitable breaking off of the retarded plastic clip

the connector is called ethernet but the wire is called hdmi

They're extremely cheap and ridiculously easy to replace yourself with inexpensive tools, so they get a pass for being flimsy.

desu, this is what all connectors should be.

These ones really do feel good to plug in.

no

XLR is the GOAT, but honorable mention to

desu tbqh

LC duplex because it makes a nice solid click, and it's fast. DisplayPort also sounds nice because they have those little steel teeth. Feels good.

Molex. It's just unplugging them that cost your skin.

agreed xlr is GOAT

bonus points for doing balanced 5VOLT P-P analogue and AES EBU digital over the same connector for 30 YEARS...

usb C or RJ-45

What? You mean TRS and TRRS?

those micro coax connectors in laptops when they snap on is pure sex

Came to post this. Its like sex. So thight yet slipping in nicely.

this are more like bondage, you know you done fucked up and you're going to pay but it's going to feel so good in the end

True for e.g. Neutrik but poorly made XLR connectors are a nightmare

benis in bagina

Why is FP always BP?

I had one once that took a chunk of the wifi board off with it. Was impossible to get it out. I ended-up getting another cable from a laptop and jury-rigging the damn thing. Fucker pissed me off.

Amphenol is a brand name. Calling all those cables Amphenol it's like calling all cars Cadillacs.

Anything that clicks when inserted, be it RJ, LC, or displayport

>fucks up your thumb

..is gay

PL > XLR

RJ45 is damn cool, but some plugs and some connectors are shitty as fuck and like to practice self-mutilation.

honorable mention

The mono version (for guitar mainly) is so fucking amazing to use, simple as fuck, plus there is nothing better than that "THUNK" when you plug it into a tight jack.

Yuck!

meh

Time travel, haven't used one in YEARS.

Go suck a dick.

I wouldv'e said the same but reversed the roles between the data and power.

too fucking small, easy to damage and hard to fix

IMO, pic related are the best and most satisfying, especially if a tube retained gets used in conjunction to it.

how does this make you feel

lightning port feels pretty fucking good desu, only thing i miss from my iphone

T-SCs and LCs have some of that feedback too but it's not as loud as RJ45

I really like putting in sound/av cables and the slight resistance the good ones give. Pic related specifi ally

From the website I have accidentally called "Sup Forums" multiple times in the office.

>4cabling
See also: you're paying more because our well made website convinced you to.

For my cables at work I used Austronic (computercables.com.au). Dennis is a lad and has decent prices.

That's not satisfying at all. There's no click and it's mushy and wiggly.

I don't know if Sup Forums know this connector but it's very satisfying to plug it

lc duplex and whatever you call the entire metal fiber port that goes into the switch with a lever/handle

This one was pretty comfy, too bad it was phased out in favor of the utter shit-tier microUSB.
One of my biggest grievances is how on the mini usb, the wide side is considered "top", while with the mini USB they switched it around so the thin side was the "top". Took me ages to adjust.

Attached: miniusb.jpg (1500x896, 140K)

Now they've replaced both with type-C cancer, it's like stuff got progressively shittier and more "normie-friendly".
Normies REEEEEEE

i've always liked plugging in mini displayports. surface chargers are satisfying as well, how they align themselves

You beat me to posting Speakon ... Cheers

Yeah, I've actually yet to use a type C cable or even see one outside of a store. I can't imagine how they could make something worse than microUSB but they probably did anyway

Normies are the answer

Manly and snug!

Attached: serveimage.jpg (1000x1000, 72K)

>tighten
>screw shears in half inside connector
No fuck that

What's wrong with type C? It's objectively better than Micro USB in every way. USB 3.0 Micro-B is by far the worst.

>Euro plug

male/female pin jumper cables. Dunno why since they're just pins

Nothing wrong with USB-C, those two are just autistic retards that can't deal with change. USB-C is a much better mechanical design, nevermind that it's also electronically superior.

i fucking hate macbooks but those magnetic chargers are satisfying as fuck to plug in

Banan plug>bare cable.
This.

DisplayPort is pretty good

Yes, but mit the mini one. The real fullsize

I like jacks.

Most of yáll never know

>bent pins
yeah compfy

This after Rj45/Rj11

what country has both superior 230 volt, and some weird American inspired uncivilized 115v?!

Yeah, i would have said that too, until that state where nobody included the silicon protection for the patch cables. The god damn patch cables are the only on that really needs it. I've lost so many of the pins, it's so freaking annoying.
