>What would you good folks recommend for drone or field recording type stuff?
Ernst Karel - Swiss Mountain Transport Systems

Seconding this, it is about as essential a drone album as you can get.

It's done.

>3+ hours of tape music and drone

wew

I'm gonna do it anyway.

thoughts on haino o'rourke ambarchi so far?

More like
>3 hours of great pretentious wankery.
It's great. I have to admit it Feels weird but it kind of works. Somehow

i want to start rumors of a new basinski piece
since he's performing at festivals around the world and is apparently performing new material

i am potentially hype

i need to relisten to elseq too

I'm going through elseq this week and it has been nice

Good morning /Daily/! How's your day going? Plans for the day? And most importantly, what are you listening to?

im feelin alright today
no plans as usual

right now i'm listening to John Fahey - Sea Changes & Coelacanths

MY day was good, stayed home sick due to allergies but got a lot of nothing done, which was nice. Now it's like an hour until bedtime. Listening to pic related tomorrow, pretty excited to know what all the hype is about in both cases.

>Mfw the Space Patrol Luluco ending
This is great. I'm in love with this short anime :3
I am unable to enjoy Deathconsciousness if i'm happy, so keep that in mind

EATIN SPAM AND OREOS, DRINKING THUNDERBIRD BABY

OOOO-OOOOOOOOOH!

I listened to it the day it came out but I haven't had enough time to just sit back and listen to it intently
the teaser tracks got me hype as hell, and they made sense as "singles." they were easier to listen to than some of the other stuff on the album(s).

I think my rough order of preference would go something like

3 > 4 = 1 = 5 > 2

still need to digest it a bit more. but I will say that chimer 1-5-1 is their worst track in years.

I was just thinking about how fucking lame it is for an artist's second album to be named "2" or their third "3" etc. Like, the only thing to distinguish and signify this artwork is that it came after a previous one? Fuck, lame shit.

portishead 4 when though

somebody gave a high rating to Alan Lee Jazz Quartet last thread which makes me happy :-)

also I finally found a vinyl copy of In a Roman Mood by Human Sexual Response today which made me very happy :-)))

I played a ton of super mario strikers with friends which was fun :-)))))

then I as I passed by my exes house I noticed her new bf's/my ex-friends car was there and it made me all sad and insecure even though it's been over a year and I've a had another gf since then. :-((((

why must something so small and petty ruin everything?

You recced me Lift Boys - Jukey Lift and I can't find it anywhere. Can you upload or give me a different rec?

aww, don't be a cryangle.

Here, enjoy this: youtube.com/watch?v=BOKf0m9J34E

NEW REC

at least it's not Peter Gabriel that literally his first four items are all fucking self titled

They were both on lookout records but no member overlap.

Thank

>watching relatively normal porno
>all of a sudden before the sexy stuff starts the girl mentions something about anime
>the guy says he doesn't know what that is and she gets ticked and starts explaining anime for like 5 minutes
>mfw

Wow that is pretty patrician.
Link?

Shamepai is clearly a porn director.

sauce, that could be my new fetish

kek
how fucking amazing is that album though?
chilling, work and chilling with gf, gonna listen and review your tape tomorrow. Was planning today, but I had to make sacrifices for lord Haino.
[spoiler]I liked it[/spoiler[

>Tortoise - Millions Now Living Will Never Die
This was a nice album that didn't really blow me away, but was good throughout. I like how the first song didn't really use guitar and had a changing instrumentation as the song progressed. I'm not sure which mallet percussion instrument was used, but the xylophone or whatever it was added a super nice texture to the songs it was used in. blue triangle/10
Favorite Track: Djed

here you go you sick fucks

>Yamir
>Gastr Del Sol - Camofleur
I can see why a fan of Jim O’Rourke and post-rock might enjoy this, but personally I find this style of post rock to be somewhat bland. Also there’s a bit of electronic music thrown in the album that seems kind of out of place. There’s one track that like that could pass for one of the quieter relaxed parts of Smile or Pet Sounds. In general this album is pleasant background music for fans of post rock and good acoustic guitar. I may relisten a bit.

>good friend rodriguez
>Steven R. Smith
I wonder if R. Stevie Moore has an album called “Kohls” about the department store. Oh anyway, yeah I didn’t really get much out of this album. Pleasant psychedelic-ish ambient stuff. Background music.

I guess Yamir advances.

>Pale Cocoon - Ching Chong jap kanji
Hella fucking epic album d(•_•)b
7.5/10

>Weeb
>Can't read weebese

Disappointing.

/Daily/ sleeps on the best contemporary indie pop artist once again

oh boy rude

Fav persona girl btw?

All of them T B H. I literally could never decid between Yukari and Mitsuru (end up with Mitsuru since She looked like a girl i had a crush on) sorry for being rude btw
Did you read my review though? I wanted you to explain me what did you see that i was missing. Thought it was fin but it sounded like Anime Openings. And i rather listen to Anime

I liked Yukari

but then I played the Answer...

Mine is either Naoto or Aigis.

good morning, friend
good day so far, just went for a run, listened to Beat Happening (again). Beat Happening really is perfect for running when the weather is nice.
I' working the record store later, think i'm gonna get a haircut before that.
Might go to a show tonight, if not i'll just get drunk.

There's a Moondog 100 years tribute concert tomorrow i'm considering going to. With the guy from Frisk Frugt.

Oh shit I saw that.

I'm just finishing up that Moondog book rn. Pretty good shit.

Sippin' on some coffee right now, got an exam at 10, will later get pizza with some housemates and see Haken tonight with my dad. Maybe go for a run sometime. Life's ok.

Did you hear about the event in Copenhagen? Or just his 100 years birthday?

Nah just the 100th birthday.

No, the threads have been moving too fast for me lately. Could you link me to the review? Also what is anime openings?

How's music today?

This is what you get for watching disgusting porn, you filthy fuck

I don't think anyone here cares about music anymore
>inb4 "anymore?"

For a moment, I almost thought about taking a break from fusion jazz. But I must stay focused.
Like that album, actually; Which is both fortunate and unfortunate.
Fortunate because the cuts here with all four guys playing an almost percussive style (yes, even with the synths) works well and is a lot of fun for the listener.
Unfortunate because the vocal cuts are not exactly to my taste.
20 down, 43 to go.

Music's pretty good so far. Although I am getting closer and closer to a dark, terrible turn in Casiopea's history.

Still shit.

Hee
