Literally what

are u on slackware?

Are you hacking the election?

nah, didn’t the patrick give his blessings to use it?

actually no

>package manager
>installpkg, upgradepkg, removepkg
>dependency resolution
>ldd
What else do you want, OP?

how do I actually do dependency install/list with installpkg?

PACKAGE MANAGEMENT IS AN ABOMINATION

This Adorable Dachshund Pup Hates Packages For No Reason!

Aptitude is an abomination. Portage is good.

how can no one here tell me how to build packages/check dependencies with slackware? do you guys even know about linux or spend all day pretending you are using linux?

Install a 21st century distribution.

why do you spend all day on Sup Forums giving bad advice? is this the new snowflakeism? do you want (you) to feel important?

Why do (((You))) spend all day on Sup Forums giving bad advice? Is this the new snowflakeism? Do (((You))) want to feel important?

I can't see how telling someone to stop using Slackware is bad advice, having experienced it myself in the past.
I can say with confidence that Gentoo would be an improvement in quality of life compared to Slackware.

disgusting

Germany is the furry capital of europe, therefore german should be Sup Forums's lingua franca.

No, but you should use slackbuilds or sbopkg

Rzadko kiedy kolwjek widzę tutaj Polaków. Jak się masz? a co jest slapt-get?

Polacy na Sup Forums? A to nowość.

Nie OP, ale kolego, z tego co czytam slapt to manager pakietów spackware, emulujący debiana.

For one portage is a fully featured package manager, something Slackware lacks.

explain how portage is better than pkgbuild or slapt-get

Proper dependency management and USE flags.
>hurr what does this mean??
If you uninstall something it will know which other packages it depended upon and also uninstall them (or offer to), if they're not needed by any other package.
This is not something exclusive to gentoo, pretty much every still-active distribution that matters except Slackware is built around some fully-featured package manager or another.

And USE flags are variables that let you easily decide to great detail which features of packages you want. This is exclusive to portage/gentoo.

but gentoo repo is nowhere as good and stable as slackware
also arch has systemd so if you walt a good package management go for bsd

People will think you're retarded for wasting time with Slackware. Clearly the choice is Debian.
