Is MPV for android bad?

yes.

last time i tried android VLC it had like three settings options, as opposed to the pc version which has about eleventy billion. has this improved at all?

and is that asshole still selling a rebadged VLC .apk as "MPC for android"?

>Not using adaway

Adaway doesn't protect you from as many domains nor does it protect you from the botnet sites.

>TachiyomiEH

Is this version not on f-droid? my tachi from there hasn't updated for the new batoto yet. Also any recommended reader for LN epubs? I dunno if you can add those to bakareader and the few I've tried out either have ads on launch or close which is gayshit

>Boost for reddit

Attached: IMG_9999.png (261x319, 89K)

What do you use to block ads on noon rooted devices?
DNS66 or blockada?

Blokadafag here. Works great and the new version is even better.

DNS66. It has a more common sense interface last time I compared the two. Blokada is based on DNS66 if I'm not mistaken, so there's no real difference.

god I want to rape Takagi

I think they dropped FDroid weeks ago.
Just download the version from the github, it has in-app updates.

>amaze
Enjoy your corrupted SD card

So those works by modifying the hottest file?
Or do they redirect all the traffic into void VPN?
Can it be disabled?

>Ehviewer
In what we is it superior ?
Also what application do you use to reflow PDF and allow for night mode?

>tfw nothing in this thread I want to download because it's already installed or there's no need for it

Survival Manual
Lost On Campus for Australian universities

Only root can modify the hosts file, that's why all these apps use the VPN method.

You can't alter the hosts file unless you're rooted. They make a VPN connection which checks the downloaded hosts file settings and prevents connections to the blacklisted sites. This isn't as good as modifying the hosts file because apps can still circumvent DNS66/Blokada, especially Google's apps. So you'll still need NewPipe/SkyTube for YouTube.
It can be disabled.

???

Logical Defense

NetGuard.

Why wasting the VPN for an ad blocker? Just use ublock origin/umatrix girls.

Amaze is known to have issues with anything that's not formatted in ext4

Source or gtfo

Solid Explorer

Not him, but it corrupted my card as well... And literally caused kernel panics.

Install whatever YOU NEED, not something anons tell you you need. Don't buy into minimalism either.

Literally killed my device. I went and uninstalled KDE Connect while it was a system app, suddenly everything "stopped working" so I tried rebooting and the device never booted again. RIP in piece. Amaze is good, but it's buggy as fuck.

What keyboard does Sup Forums suggest? Hacker's Keyboard doesn't have an English dictionary anymore and ASK has a fucking annoying symbol placement (why the fuck do I have to dig so much for commonly used symbols like ' or / reee)

hey, i wanna thank you for making this thread, these threads always help me find something new :)

I use an old version of google keyboard and block it's internet access with AFwall+.

I use DNS66 because I also need to change my DNS so I can resolve my lan domains.

Hacker's keyboard. I don't really use the dictionary anyway, except for contractions.

What? ASK has the "/" symbol under "Z", AND " ' " has it's own key. Use a proper layout.

Is there an app for socializing with girl (male) programmers?

>Telegram
TOPKEK
There was a thread few days ago about how it now a Russian botnet

What if I don't know what I need?
For example I opened using the my remote and until I learned there's a third party so with better options

Umm whatever apps you need? Duh

Or scripts

Is there a web browser that support userscripts?

>Umatrix
Is this the new NoScript

>new
No
>replacement to NoScript
Yes

you can also block scripts in ubo but umatrix offers other things as well.

Quite some time ago there was a thread with a picture about people stealing fdroid apps, renaming them and putting them on the play store. I think it had two examples, one of which a file manager that looked pretty comfy. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Is there any alternative to the FDROID app? Currently I'm using just the old version but I'd prefer a light fork.

How to use it?
And what does decenterlyce do?

It blocks CDN and loads local resources instead so the botnet doesn't track your browsing history.

I need something good that will let me access my files on my phone over the LAN with my PC

Suggestions?

ssh

I swapped to MiXplorer ever since Amaze shit on their own UI last year

Don't.
Most "automatic" root apps end bootlooping after some months , my Nexus 7 is basically unusable because of it.

Tachiyomi is for retards. Use the goddess + perfect viewer.

shut up

What the fuck happened to Mupdf? The new 'viewer' has no options anymore, it has no reflow or search anymore or at least I can't find it.
People also kept mentioning Document Viewer and reflow but I can't find it there either and they have an open github issue about its implementation

My bad, the search is there but reflow isn't

Tried out OpenLauncher but it just crashes every time I open app drawer. Stock nougat

any file managers with ftp and cloud support?

Attached: 1508558700025.png (671x473, 52K)

Firefox on android has literally downsyndrome performance, no matter on what phone.

KDE Connect if you're on KDE. Otherwise Amaze File Manager.

Can anyone recommend a twitch app alternative? I've tried PocketPlays (works but can't follow people) Orion (can follow people but I just get no video when trying to open streams) and a few other github projects that are a few years old and don't work. Don't want to make a shitty twitch account just to watch streams

How do you follow people without an account

not gonna happen, and youre an idiot for trying THIS hard to accomplish this to avoid using a throwaway email to create an account that is nothing more than a favorite-stream-list.

your next best option is to create your own local website with your favorite streams linked in such a way that when you click on the link the twitch app asks if you want to watch it in the app, and allows you to launch to that stream without needing to sign in.

maybe vortex, I don't remember which features it has

used simple music player recently and really cant recommend it. a little buggy, fairly clunky menus make it hard to actually browse available files. and i think it doesnt sleep properly because i noticed a dip in battery life over time.

>>ROM: Replicant

Thats some hard shit your on

That pic seems to confuse Google

Attached: 2018-03-26.png (909x939, 434K)

Mupdf has two versions, vanilla and a light version with less features.
Anyway, document viewer is much more comfy with its autocrop and night mode.

Stop using google; it's the botnet.

Bullshit, works great on my S8+.
Though I took the time to configure it. If properly configured it's the best option on desktop and mobile.

Any browsers that can use plugins like firefox?

The simple apps are godsend.
Simple draw is an amazing app, I use it to take small notes or doodle a little.
The only down side is there's no full screen options.
Yeah, PDFs are terrible to read on small size screen without reflow.
older version of MuPDF still have the reflow, but what I'd like is night mode.
>KDE Connect if you're on KDE
What about other DE?
Is there something like it for XFCE.
But it can't reflow.
>google camera (port)
Does it really make a difference?
>LibreTorrent
>not using the superior flud
yes, it just a an android port for the libmpv
Pixel dungeon
I thought NoScript block JS while UMatrix block third party requests, That's why you need both.
>firefox with ublock
Just use Bromite.

Attached: 1516036245638.jpg (720x773, 31K)

umatrix and ublock origin both block scripts as well as other requests. It's much better than noscript.

>bromite
>chromium + custom patches
no

i2p

adaway is bloat, i just copy&paste the hosts file of my pc.

Why?
