>Unknown Eskimo DJ's
reccs?

no one knows any

They're not that great. It's a fun experience, but it's basically the result of turning on NPR before a fever dream.

i'd like to see this but with genres pls, and not hampus' shit

Meant to reply to Sorry I'm a dumbass

I'm a creep
im a weirdo

Fixed

lol

I thought Hans Krüsi was just an artist

Has anyone actually listened to any artists in the "Ascended" Category? Is it really that bad?

>Modest Mouse next to Michael Jackson and higher than Nirvana, Beatles, Weezer, Eminem, Pink Floyd

are you fucking kidding me. I get that Modest Mouse are accessible but surely they're less popular than any of the artists I mentioned above

creep/degenerate here

Unknown eskimo DJs actually caught my eye last time, so I listened to them. Nothing I'd listen to regularly, but definitely unique and enjoyable

>that obvious later adding of all those lame power electronics bands

lel

avant-teen

>Aqua
Really?

the youtube link got taken down baka

those retarded word filters are still in place i see

I'm mostly normalfag with a few in weird

I think it was made by bayar; he really likes aqua

Anyone listened to Peter Sotos yet?

Lily Greenham is great

How is peter sotos ascended

anyone has a download link to this eskimo djs thing? i'm curious but it's not on archive, rutracker or slsk ;_;

>muh child rape desu.

its on slsk search "eskimo djs"

i just checejd

no. i have no idea what jed speare is doing there. he just made some proto ambient techno type stuff.

What's the reasoning as to why all of the musicians in ascended are where they are?

Hans Krüsi is weird, it's something that's a cool experience to see what he did audibly and experimentally but if you put it on around people they'd probably never speak to you again. It'd sound better if it didn't sound like it was recorded on a submerged laptop microphone.

Does anyone have the chart with super-eurobeat at the bottom?

Someone should make one of these that includes obscure lolicore splits from 2009.

>calling the police
Idk why I'm laughing

i mostly listen to stuff on the weird or creepy tier, but i listen to stuff above and below those levels too idrc

speare is good, greenham and oosterlynck are ok, and the rest are subpar but worth checking out

>Jed Speare

Eh, some of Speare's songs are kind of unsettling and brooding, but I wouldn't consider it in the Ascended category.

Damiao Experiença: it's just a guy with a guitar playing it very fast and singing a bunch of incoherent stuff, basically the acoustic version of grindcore

Jed Speare: not that weird, I'd actually recommend it for someone who wants to get into musique concrète, it's almost ambient at times

Baudouin Oosterlynck: don't remember a lot, I've heard a comp of his - some pretty disturbing tracks like "Refuge" and others are more repetitive, sometimes hypnotic but not much

The studios from Infinite Jest should be at the bottom

Not seeing anything here... wtf

it's ascended on the OP chart so that's why i suggested it

I can't find any films by the Ray O. Light group

>advertising local businesses
>typing with your dick without telling anyone
>doxxing yourself
>posting from crib
checking dubs on /po/
Holy shit

check karagarga

it's a kg joke

Dufrene has a whole album of him making puking noises in a microphone, so take that as you will.

>Checking dubs on /po/

Fucking lost it

>typing with dick without telling anyone

here you are blog.wfmu.org/freeform/2005/04/she_be_she_stri.html

>tfw no one invites me on karagarga

thats cuz no one has invites

should be back this year tho

>lynch
>jodorowsky
>lav diaz
>straub/huillet
>post-66 godard
>that low

you should try watching more godard

>tarkovsky that much higher up than Lynch
wew

i hope so, searching for torrents on public trackers it's annoying as hell

there are other movie trackers then kg man

and your chances of some random giving you an invite when they do come back are nonexistent. if you haven't already, get on WCD and from there get on PTP. KG still has lots that PTP doesn't have but PTP is a million times better than public trackers.

sorry meant to say, the chances of someone giving you an invite when they do comeback without your already being on another tracker are nonexistent.

they'll be given away on invite forums on other trackers

how do i get on wcd?

i hide messages in my posts all the time

whatinterviewprep.com/

also, Cinematik gives out invites on the IRC if you go through a brief interview (no need to study for that). they have a great selection.

Why things like that never have the strokes

So racist

thanks user

thanks user

what if you're a spic who is banned from the invite channel due to country tho ;_;

Guys, is there an Iceberg-tier list for movies?

>Doopees
>Merzbow
SO FUCKIN' SPECIALLLLL

see

...

No.

>brakhage level 2
>benning level 5

lmao

...

whats wrong with that?

...

there's no way benning is that much more obscure/inaccessible/weird than brakhage. in fact, i'd wager it's the exact opposite

...

Eurobeat is the logical conclusion to music

...

not really. brakhage's work ranges from deren-esque surrealism (long a mainstay for anyone who's into cinema) to short, abstract animation that any square can appreciate the aesthetic beauty of. benning's work since the turn of the century (and thusly, the bulk of his work) is much more elusive and trying.

Hahah this is the best one

...

the type of formalistic experimentation benning does has its roots back decades ago, and if you have the academic background to understand what he's trying to do with a given work, it's not a very difficult job to get the point, even though the experience of sitting through his movies is kind of demanding. brakhage on the other hand was a totally idiosyncratic figure that, while delving into academic threads, gave a very personal, hermetic tint to his movies. add to that the lack of sound and you have works that can pretty easily alienate even people with a solid background in film

This image is the high point of this board.

>has its roots back decades ago
few filmmakers don't. you can trace brakhage back to, like i said, deren or for his later works people like harry smith or len lye.

> you have the academic background to understand what he's trying to do with a given work,
that alone is a qualification that 99.9% of the population does not hold. and like you refer to, there's a big gap between understanding what he's going for and having the patience to sit through it.

literally perfect

RUNNING IN THE 90S

>no m.o.v.e

Don't come near my hill.

...

...

>Brakhage that high

watch more movies

Anything like this for books?

Show any normalfag or person who is somewhat into film Brakhage and they'll be fucking bored or confused as hell. He is at the most a level 3.

>Marker, post66 goddard, james bennings lower than Brakhage
What the fuck?

...

Why are embryos so obsessed with Brakhage? Is it because his films are available on YouTube and short?

>Show any normalfag
Good thing he isn't in the 'Normal Pleb' tier then huh you illiterate retard

sex iceberg is best iceberg

>Formicophilia
>Degenerate

I looked through most of the icebergs and didn't find any with the band Emil Bulls. They're actually decent if you like metal. Two best songs I've found are "Way of the Warrior" and "Heart Eater". They're a German band I think but they only sing in English. Surprisingly you can't even tell they're European.

>jazz at level 1
>you fucking pleb

Fifty Shades of Grey would've probably been in the Ascended category desu.

>necrophilia in "irredeemable"

That's the only thing wrong with it.

Concrete enemas also should be in either degenerate or irredeemable, I actually wank unironically to those vids

Michael Gira's book would probably fall into the "degenerate" or "irredeemable" section

what did he mean by this
