But that song is good

It's a good song, but it doesn't fit with the rest of the album.

bwam bwam bwuh bwem bwam bwuh

...everyone....

I didn't think it was possible to be this wrong. Please tell me this is bait.

How the fuck can anyone think that song is bad

It's shocking to me that someone can love Kid A but not find any value in The National Anthem

>Space Travel is Boring
It's a fine track but it hardly belongs on the album, especially at the end of it when it could have closed with Mechanical Birds.

What the fuck is wrong with you?

Teardrop
good song but it doesn't fit with the album atmosphere at all

Literally the best song holy shit.
Agree, should be replaced with Edit the Sad Parts. I think I see what Isaac was trying to do, a nice little resolution after the chaos of Mechanical Birds but it's really unnecessary.

Get it (DT)

I think the song fits fine honestly, I just wish it was longer. On the other hand, I think Life Like Weeds would have been a perfect closing track on M&A rather than What People Are Made Of.

No it wouldn't. That song has absolutely no resolution, emotionally or in the song. What People Are Made Of actually concludes the album.
Now, Night On The Sun on the other hand...

I loved What People Are Made Of closing M&A. I tend to prefer closers that end it with a burst of energy like that though. I wish Other People's Lives was on M&A. That's the only other track that I could see closing the album.

Other People's Lives would be a LCW outtake my man

It would fit perfectly on M&A if it was mixed to match. It doesn't sound anything like LCW.

It was released in either 97 or 98, right after LCW. And setlist.fm says it was played as far back as 96.setlist.fm/stats/songs/modest-mouse-73d6ae69.html?song=Other People's Lives

So what? They were playing Dark Center of the Universe as far back as 97. Even the B-side to Other People's Lives (Grey Ice Water) could have fit perfectly onto M&A.

Maybe the spacey jamming fits on the Moon and Antarctica, but even then the lyrics of Other People's Lives fit in better with the sort of blue-collar storytelling style of LCW. M&A's scope is a lot broader.

>not Exchange

>Whaddit I Done, Brad

The National Anthem is one of the best tracks on that album. If anything should go, it's Treefingers.

>Have a sad cum bb

That's a fair point. You really can tell by the lyrics alone that it was written in the LCW-era and that's good enough reason to not have it on there. All of this is reminding me how much I love these albums. I need to go listen to them again.

But Treefingers is the second best track on the album.

Pretty obvious one
>> My World

It's a top 3 song on the album you idiet

Of all their albums the only good MM closing tracks are Good Times Are Killing Me and Styrofoam Boots IMO

>not Say Hey Kid

hope you're not counting BNOoS as an album then

fuck. you.

Daffy Duck

7 Kettles

Moonchild

Bad Communication
no

Interstate 8 and Everywhere also close pretty good if we're counting them.

that's like the best song on the entire album, jesus christ

it would be like taking us and them out of DSOTM or ballad of a thin man out of highway 61 revisited

Take out the utterly pointless 10 minute minimal jam shit and leave the first two minutes and I agree, say what you like, but the opening melody and textures of Moonchild are gorgeous.

delete this today

What the fuck? Get rid of mps imo.

It's the best song you fucking piece of shit

I don't even need to name it

fucking die, summerfag

This man gets it. DSOTM is pretty mediocre imo, but Us and Them is GOAT.

"no"

OD

Return The Gift

Every other song is at least an 8/10 for me but I can't get behind this one for whatever reason.

>implying the national anthem isn't radiohead's best song

fucking chill, NEET

"I do it for you sliiiime"

cringe thread?

If only the jam weren't ten fucking minutes.

why the fuck do people like this garbage? is it a meme?

his voice, his lyrics and his pronunciation are all fucking terrible

>b b b but that for flipping the record over, and then the reprise is for transitioning to another record..

STOP THIS MEME YOU FUCKIN RETARD DAFFY DUCK IS GREAT REEEEEEEE

>Electioneering is a good song, but it doesn't fit with the rest of the album
>The National Anthem is a good song, but it doesn't fit with the rest of the album
>Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors is a good song, but it doesn't fit with the rest of the album

You do realize that good albums try to bring variety up as they go along, right?

EVERYONE

Honestly, it's interesting. He's not a bad rapper when he's trying, and his singing is bad in the best way. I have no justification for his lyrics, and as a fan, I wish he'd work on them more. He has a generally solid beat selection, and all in all makes some odd, semi-experimental hip hop. He follows the Andre 3000 school of blurring the line between rapping and singing, while also retaining a Lil Wayne-esque humorous streak. He's not a lyricist, he's not a top tier rapper, he's at best a decent singer, but he brings all of this together in a creative way, and that makes his music enjoyable.

What the fuck

Holy shit came to post this
