>tfw 1920x1080kHz sounds better 3.5mm kHz

My ears tap out at 12khz, I can listen to dogshit and it sounds good

I swear to god audiophile equipment is the biggest meme and the biggest money drain in tech
You think overpaying several hundred bucks for Apple tech is bad, try wasting over $1k on imaginary difference

Does dogs shitting make a sound?

Yes.

Last year when I visited my dad he showed me his new golden aux cables and 4k tv even though all he does is listening to 128kbps mp3s and watching 576i tv stations.

> not buying a 64bit 384khz DAC to listen to YouTube rips

Friendly Reminder 24/48 is the most patrician format. Its the max iPhone supports too ;)

going above 16/44.1 for playback is useless.

>4k tv
yeah this gets me every time.
I get it if you use it for games or as a display. Less so for movies. But I don't even know why you'd need that to watch TV.
I wondered that back in 2010 when HD was getting big. Now it's 4k already and people STILL do that.

>tfw I can actually hear 20KHz
Have to find a test tone above this frequency. Although my headphones won't reproduce above 22,5KHz.

this
digital audio is near perfect. every "HD upgrade" to it is just plain marketing meme.

Nothing is worse than when people buy a $1000 4k ultra TV then just use the shitty built in speakers or sound bar they bought at Walmart

this infographic is confusing sample rate with audible range. 44.1kHz sample rate != 20kHz sound wave

this is true, unless you have some serious equipment but then you're talking about seriously diminishing returns on quality increase vs. price increase

that's what everybody does though

I think receiver sales are at all time lows.

Me senpai

Use audacity's builtin tone generator
