Personally I'm waiting for a phone without a front camera.

I wouldn't buy a phone with a notch, but I'm still a bit glad they exist. Clearly the only reason Apple made one was to advertise everyone that you paid a lot for your phone because it's the one with a visible notch. That's why they won't allow software to make the top part black. Now that everyone is doing it it's just an ugly design decision making your phone look worse that other people's phones who didn't get one. No one can tell that it's an expensive phone. I just hope notchless phones aren't going anywhere.
Looks good, even with a notch.
a phone with the front camera under the display (like the inscreen fingerprint scanner which turns off part of the display) is more likely
>remove 50 x 200 pixels from screen
>save 2 cents per phone
>shares rise .01%
capitalism did this
low quality bait
Just like phones with keyboards weren't going anywhere.
And in the years behind us, touchscreen keyboards never stopped being shitty.

Mainstream Smartphones are marketed to thots. Thots use the front cam more than the back cam.
Hey I'm using a BlackBerry KEYone to type this. The bbOS phones they released a few years ago had keyboards and a compatibility layer with Android. There are two phones with physical keyboards they promised to release in 2018. Phones with keyboards still exist, although they'll probably never be as present as they were in the days of Android 2.2-2.3.
I'm with this guy. A phone with no "selfie camera" is probably never coming because companies don't want to lose their narcissistic kids audience. I've met with a now 14yo cousin of mine after 6 years and am surprised by the fact she has an iPhone and appalled by how she's constantly taking pictures of herself: in the car, outside, in a store, sitting on the couch, etc. I asked her what was wrong with her and she just said "what am I supposed to take pictures of? Other people?"
The round corners weren't enough pixel waste, the notches will be a thing. The navigation and notification bars - which normies don't know how to get rid of - didn't bother too many people, so I don't see a notch like that bothering them either. But just like thinner phones: """progress"""
Glad i'm not the only one thinking it's ugly as fuck
I wish that every manufacturer that does this would go belly up.
>has bezel on bottom
>Still needs notch
Who thought this was a good idea?
They're going to release phones with front facing cameras under the screen before they release phones without front facing cameras
>The notch is so ugly, it'll never take off!
>every android phone copies the notch
yikes.png
yeah fuck oneplus. might have been a buy for me because of wireless charging finally but they just had to ruin it with a fucking notch
Not Samsung, thank fucking god. At this rate the Note 9 will have a headphone jack, a microSD card slot and no notch and it feels really weird to be looking to Samsung as an example of sensible design choices.
Kinda surprised a thot wouldn't use the back more so...

So much autism just because of a place to put sensors and shit.
You do realize that there's no technology available to put everything behind the screen, right?
It's either a notch, bigger top bezels or a XBOX HUEG chin like the Mix 2S.
...
I'm waiting for a phone without cameras.
You could remove it yourself.
Really I would be fine with it if they just moved it to the side of the screen so I don't have to notice it. It's like when you put on a screen protector but a tiny spec of dust lands on the screen before you put it on, so now you have this obtrusive bubble you can't pretend you don't see.
