After installing a new sata ssd my computer now takes about 1:30 to shutsown while it only takes 35 seconds to boot.

I've set ClearPageFileAtShutdown to 0 in the registry, and even tried setting page file to 0 (disables) and it's still just as slow.

Any idea why this is happening or how to fix it?

(Pic only somewhat related)

>35 seconds to boot
>90 sec to shutdown
I may miss some things, but FUCK that

It's an old system and its only running sata 3 ssd which aren't that fast.

believe it or not 30 second boot time is a vast improvement over my hdd. lol.

Define old
I have a 20 year old laptop that boots in 10 seconds over an hdd with a minimal install

I have an XPS 8500 that boots Win10 in 17 seconds off a 500GB hard drive.

Though an X2 5200+ could boot XP faster.

sucks desu

Disable all startup entries. Something's hanging.

Its got an AMD FX 6300 (3.5 ghz) 16 gb ddr3 ram, geforce gtx 1050 ti, and a sabdisk ultra II sata 3 ssd, and 2 7200 rpm hdd's for storage.

Any tips on why its going so slow?

Too many services running on startup?

Disconnect the two hard drives and reinstall Windows.

Physically disconnect HDD
Boot with only the SSD

>sata 3 ssd which aren't that fast.
wat

That means nothing
I recently upgraded an old house pavilion from the stock he's to a sata 2 ssd and the improvement was abysmal
Computer now boots up in less than 10 seconds and shuts down almost instantly

>boot time
>on a fucking computer that you will leave on all week
what

tfw reboot once a month

Boot time is one of the things that give you a better perspective of the improvements over mechanical drives, but everything you do, EVERTHING start to feel more smooth as fuck with an SSD.
>leave on all week
What the fuck, who doesn't shutdown his pc daily?

Pcie 3 nvme m.2 are about 6 times faster than sata3.

I shutdown my pc whenever im not using it which could be a few times a day. At least every night when i go to bed.

if you don't copy very large files all day you won't notice a difference

I have a max spec PC and BIOS boots 5 times longer than the OS (instant) it's fucking annoying

>tfw you copy large files all day but can't even afford a SATA SSD.

And if you never boot your PC or use anything which requires loading you will also not notice a difference

Yeah some of us have computers which boot as fast as waking from sleep

>35 seconds to boot
Yikes. 8 seconds to boot on my craptop.

>he doesn't seed

>he doesn't get malware either

>he uses backdoored freetard clients instead of the glorious uTorrent 2.2.1

>he uses a proprietary adware Bitorrent client

Top fucking kek, but on a more serious note
>Right before psalm Friday too
I dont know whether to laugh or be appalled

uTorrent 2.2.1 doesn't have ads. Unlike qBittorrent.

There are ads on qbitorrent?

Because I've used it for 3 years now and never noticed a single one.

Infact that's what made me move to and keep using it

If you fucked up and made an error in your post just man up and admit it

Freetards shill it nonstop. That makes it adware.

Man up you fucking woman

Your behaviour is consistent with someone sour because they paid for utorrent before they knew qbitorrent existed. Sad!
