This shit sounds like a dentist visit. Elaborate.

Mob - I Believe in You

In the Court of the Crimson King

Tago Mago

The Age of Adz

The Ascension

I feel Soundtracks for the Blind should replace To Be Kind

Of course

No its a great album

Haven't heard these

Literally Overwhelming.

Why Soundtracks over TBK? I get The Sound and Helpless Child, among others but almost every track on TBK turns into a hulking monstrosity

was going to post this

planning for burial has a really big sound because of all the instrumental layers and effects he uses. like post-rock infused doomgaze.

everything about the ark work makes me think it should be more grand than this, but it's hardly even close. in fact nothing comes even close to the larger than life feeling i get from aesthethica

...

true, but for me, soundtracks is the true monster of an album, with just the sheer scope of what it tries to accomplish. To Be Kind may have more consistent big tracks, but none of them reach the grandeur and scale that Soundtracks reaches

Amon Duul II - Yeti
Amon Duul II - Tanz Der Lemminge to a lesser extent.
Mob - I Believe In You
Glenn Branca - The Ascension
Rachel's - The Sea And The Bells
UFO 2 - Flying

...

oh, are you the dude that I introduced mob to and fell in love with the band?

What's that second album? Above GY!BE

Small board ain't it? You know I gotta say Bardur really feels like it could've been cut. Otherwise the album is easily in my top ten.

Sunn O))) - Monoliths and Dimensions

monoliths and dimensions

dude, check it out, I bought the album for a merchant in Germany. I ripped a flac version of it so I could share it with you.

Mob - I Believe in You [FLAC]

Holy FUCK thank you man jesus christ I thought you'da posted it in a sharethread (then again I haven't been in them lately) Fucking hell thank you.

...

Flaming Lips - The Soft Bulletin

no problem man. I plan on getting the rest of their discog on CD, but their first album is a pain to find

Thanks.

as big as it gets

I still haven't checked their other shit yet. Give it to me straight do they compare to Believe?

their first album, close, but the second half slows down too much and that brings it down a notch. Regardless though, it's an 8/10

The other album and EP don't really compare, but have some notable songs on them. Here's my favorite song from their first album:

Mob - Dreams Distorted

You could actually put a couple of Ae's albums on there. Pic related, LP5, and Elseq come to mind. Untilted in most spots.

Sounds good! Just got it off Soulseek gon' check shit out.

yo, OP, do you have an undated chart for us?

updated*

this is one of the most epic sounding albums ever made.

...

yes

Neurosis - Through Silver and Blood

What's to the right of MBV?

Good picks.

I love this album, but I don't think it fits the bill.

My man.

>What's to the right of MBV
Boris - Flood

...

>every track on TBK turns into a hulking monstrosity
holy shit, did you literally just quote fantano

More Godspeed

Sort of in the same theme

Whitehouse-Mummy and Daddy

I like it but it doesn't fit the thread at all

my dick lmao

The fuck, does this board not listen to Public Castration anymore? Absolutely more overwhelming than their others

Pretty much a tossup between this, Akuma, and Amplifier Worship

...

In the Court of the Crimson King
Aqualung
Killing Is My Business... and Business Is Good!

I think C.C.C.C. do that more. Especially Rocket Shrine.

The no name guitarist this band had for this album was really good at texture painting huge soundscapes.

Generic Sup Forumscore - the thread

this a thousand time

This

>Vision Creation Newsun

literally the worst Boredoms record. try Pop Tatari, even bigger sound there.

Deathconsciousness?

What a ridiculous thread. And not one Godflesh album in sight, either.

>Generation

All power metal

Also Devy is spot on

Get Up With It is the real big Miles Davis album.

I have no idea, I don't watch him

The Lips's 90's drum production is insane

Getting there

...

Cell-Scape

Pic related

personally I'd replace the boredoms album you put with either VCN (which you had earlier) or Super Ae, but it's not my chart so do what you think works. Your picks right now are on point. Here's another suggestion. If you haven't heard it it's great maximal psychedelic rock with folktronica and big drum breaks

still their best live album

if a overwhelming album you wanna hear
the king crimson's red you must steal!

...

Loveless seems more cozy and enveloping than huge in my opinion.
