Female vocalists?

So im diving into poppy music with female vocalists lately.
Im having a hard time finding what i like this far.

Artists i really appreciate this far are:
Marissa Nadler
Chelsea Wolfe
Anna von Hausswolff
Tess Parks
Emma Ruth Rundle

Where do i go from here?

Angel Olsen

I don't know how she compares to the artists you listed but try Tove Lo.

Angel Olsen is a winner.
Not quite yet sure what to make of Tove Lo.

Thanks for the recommendations in any case.

I've actually never listened to her music. I just like posting big jugs on this board. Anyway, I'm happy you found new music that you like.

susanne sundfor and beth gibbons are pretty patrician pop-singers.

Cocteau Twinsssssssssssss

And another winner.
Very interesting to listen to.

Tess parks sounds a lot like mazzy star

And these are amazing aswell.
Is patrician pop an established term? Is that what im looking for?

Should have mentioned these in the original posting. But good recommandation anyways.

They are indeed incredibly similiar(and thus a very good recommendation!)

Try this, I used to listen to it all the time

>patrician pop

How can you talk about this without a Lady Gaga reference.

None of those artists are really pop, but if you like Chelsea Wolfe, Emma Ruth Rundle, ans Marissa Nadler, i recommend Julien Baker.

Chelsea Wolfe is still the best, though

Amazing voice. Spot on.

Well excuse my ignorance, but i really don't know any better which genre covers these artists.

Also very nice. Noted.

Frankie Rose priddy good
I'm partial to Sky Ferreira but she gets a lot of hate here
The do has a lead female, big fan of album both ways open jaws

Still working on an opinion, but I kinda like Gin Wigmore. Sup Forums approved?

maybe

youtube.com/watch?v=8s5ihWIywzg
Ane Brun
also
Joanna Newsom
Bat for Lashes
Anna Ternheim

Lera Lynn.

Im slightly overwhelmed by the new suggestions. This far everything ive tried was at least decent to amazing.
Thanks for all these recommendations!

Stop what you're doing and listen to Kate Bush. Theres nothing more important.

Don't worry about what Sup Forums likes or hates. You should only listen to music for yourself without worrying about others think man.

...

came for pics of angel olsen thickness, was only mildly disappointed

Good taste. You might like Julia Holter if you're just looking for pop. Maybe Zola Jesus as well, although I don't particularly like her myself.

Other than that I'd recommend listening to Emma Ruth Rundle's other bands, and based on Chelsea Wolfe you could try out Portishead, True Widow and Esben and the Witch.

I was going to post Solex but a lot of people don't like her voice and really she isn't like a trained singer or anything I don't think. I like it though. She's kind of like Bjork with a split opinion on her voice.

this

how about some Polly Jean, OP

Metric. Also Emily Haines' solo albums.

Vashti Bunyan

Beth Gibbons of Portishead.

Beth Orton. Listen to Trailer Park.

What about Central Reservation?

Sup Forums did fantastic today.
This far there are so many good recommendations that im going to occupied for the next couple of days.

Check out Helen Marnie's work, she has a lovely voice.

Julia Holter isn't that pop.

Neither are the artists OP mentioned. It's the most pop rec that makes sense.

Metric
>Emily Haines
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
>Karen O
Too bad that YYYs came out to be douchebags. And Metric is just plain awesome on every album.

Victoria Legrand from Beach House

+1

What do you think of this OP?

Grimes is so underrated on Sup Forums. I mean that literally.

Kate Bush and Grimes are my favourites. Bjork as well but that isn't particularly poppy

This is great
