Never really bothered to listen to much Brazilian music but I just discovered this completely randomly and fell in love with it.

SAME! This and Jorge Ben have been in constant rotation for me this past week.

Specifically this and Africa Brasil youtube.com/watch?v=KpbkJrJodcQ

Akron/Family- self titled has been a fucking treasure

i've gotten really into this lately too, left of the dial is my absolute jam

same lol

the lyrics make it just an alright album, but i love the guy single handedly meming the world

I'll never understand how Akron/family have never gained traction around Sup Forums the self titled specially seems like i'd fit right in with second tier Sup Forums core.
Also check out the rest of their discography imo they've never made a bad album.

yeah i've really liked most of what i've heard from them, love is simple especially, but self titled is forever goat
honestly tho yeah, for all the love albums like sung tongs get, you'd think Sup Forums would be all over it

Found this in February and it's honestly the album i've listened to the most this year so far, but i'm not sure if like it because it's good or if its something new and different from what i normally listen to.

Mr Bungle, specifically California is so fucking good. Any other bands like them?

Never really started listening to Radiohead till late '15

...

This

I also checked out those Tirestires and Black Dice albums from that thread on maximalism, kind of falling in love with those

Possibly the best soundtrack ever

Earrings Off! by Adult Jazz. I don't care what Pitchfork and Fantano say. It's a great album.

my cousin has that chair
and album

I grew up skipping there songs on the radio and not really paying attention to anything they did for no specific reason and boy do I regret that very much. I am hooked on these guys right now, I binged all the albums starting in order over a period of a week and I've enjoyed every single one of them. I like 99% of every song they have made. Only songs I don't like are a couple on Adrenaline but that was the start and I understand it was rusty.

Having a blast with Koi No Yokan right now.

That man has one hell of a voice and I haven't really heard anyone who comes close to matching the feeling of eerie, soothing, moody, hard hitting vibe he brings. Love it all and goddamn do I miss skipping over them from when I was younger.

I feel ashamed that I didn't know about Based Bruce until this year

No bully, it makes me happy and romantic and just feel good.

Gayfag btw.

damn that's really cool. this album is on my backlog right now so I really think i'll give it a listen now.

This is actually not a bad album. Not their best but okay.

Fuck man i wish i heard this 5 years ago

great album

this for me.

Would make a chart, but Topsters is down.

Pic related is probably the one I've listened to the most, though. Made me feel really dumb for letting it slide for years.

anyone heard this? I really like it

man, this is beautiful

...

The same type of chair or literally the chair used in that photo?

probably the best 70s KC album

Only discovered them this year. Love Cult of Fire now

if this guy makes his next LP even better he's going to become Sup Forumscore fast

Honestly beautiful

...

...

It shot up into my top ten favorites after one listen.

...

Jim is the best.

You get the remaster with bonus tracks? The acoustic demo of Can't Hardly Wait is incredible.

CHAK CHAK CHAK

i discovered this like the first week of the year
somehow i didn't like left of the dial until a few months ago how could i ever have been that pleb
it's totally their best album though

pure joy

the first tracks are exactly what I expected with the goofy album cover

Violins on this album are simply top notch
