I still like that album a lot.

The 2000's are truly a graveyard of buzz bands.

I like this one too.

I really, really thought Arctic Monkeys would go away after a few mediocre followups. Despite the fact that they've somehow managed to cling onto the buzz to this day, I'm posting them here because their whole aura is virtually identical to all the other bands in this thread, and I have no idea why they're still around.

...

The reason they got big is because they were the buzz band that actually stood out, I think they definitely sounded the same as everyone else though.

They survived, I give them credit for that.

Still think that Stellastarr* should have fared better.

oh god damnit I think i've lost it
oh god god damnit, I think i've lost you

not only are the arctics still around, they're like one of the biggest rock bands in the world, second only to foo fighters. huge audiences in europe and south america

good on them, turner's obv a talented guy

This, holy shit.

Never seen a band's relevance disappear so fast.

>the whole 2000's NYC scene

...

these guys were p good, if perhaps a bit too clever for their own good

and this band is still around putting out solid (for a mid-'00s indie rock buzzband) records

who's gonna post scouting for girls and the ordinary boys

...

...

Arctic Monkeys were pretty talented desu, at least when it comes to their first two albums

...

you are now 1) hearing the riff for chelsea dagger and 2) manually breathing

how much time do you got?

klaxons are ok in my book, if only for the fact that they wrote a love song about the villain in tomb raider 1

...

late of the pier were better in every aspect than this meme edgy band.

>how you want your music?
>just interpol my shit up, famalamafam

JOHN WAS A SCIENTIST
'E WAS HOOKED ON LSD

>christgau says art brut's second record is the worst album ever
>gives an A- to their third one
wew lad

I really liked this band, and I liked even more that the lead singer got punched in the face by Jack White

Love that band, I really hope they don't get forgotten any more than they are now.

EYE AM ALEYEVE AND AMPLIFEYED

Agreed, Doves should have gotten huge.

...

still love the singles and some odd others off their first two

thx for the tip

I have an old spin magazine in my closet where art brut attend an american baseball game.
ISNT IS SO LE IRONIC XDDDD

They had great stuff, and then made an album with the most generic cover I've seen

Melophobia is a solid album.

Cage the Elephant are still big though

Rooooose-abiiilityyyyy. There is no rosebility

Anyone remember them?

Damn this was my jam during some high school year, then I totally forgot them, thanks user

...

...

literally their second album came out yesterday

i'd love to read this, it sounds deliciously insufferable

...

...

...

...

...

you now remember the thrills

I still frequently listen to this
it's a shame they completely ditched this style

...

And no one cared.

I miss Washed Out so much.

They were in an episode of The OC, fuck that brings me back

...

I saw these guys support foals a couple years back and they tore the roof off the place

Kind've, Chaz still has a decent career imo
