NEW ALBUM! GET IT EARLY FOR A LIMITED TIME! I'm releasing my album, Silent Spring, early for a little bit to drum up some early feedback. I'd love love love people to listen and download, and feedback even more so. Gonna work my way through this thread now. The album was inspired by English folklore, as well as artists like Talk Talk, Miles Davis, Arthur Russell. Steve Reich, and David Sylvian. Cheers guys x

I did them through E-mail but it was fun. Trying new styles and seeing how they would turn out in the end was cool. Plus, they're cool dudes.

Huge psychedelic sound
Great musicianship. Especially the piano work. This is real craftsmanship.
I really enjoy the atmosphere of this, especially on Babylon
Arrayed Above The Seraphrim Lights is easily the best freak-folk I've heard come out of 2016.
Definitely going to check out that Space Friend Compilation.
Lunar Halo is gorgeous.
I'll be listening to more stuff and giving feedback etc..

Ztapes puts out a lot of stuff I'm pretty meh about but I still listen to each release, now and thing I find something I totally fall in love with.
Buying cassette tapes in 2016 from some czech guy selling music that less than a thousand people are likely to listen to feels almost too hipsterish to take though.
Is it just me or is every flac on Bandcamp fake?

No but seriously some people don't care about uploading a lossless file, hence why you may been running into a lot of fake flac files

How can i convert my wav to flac? fl studio doesn't have render to flac option
I use xrecode II to convert my stuff to flac. with that being said wav is also lossless so if you upload your wav files to bandcamp it should be lossless

I have already started to write some lyrics for my new album, and I already made some chords for that song. The problem is that I have no chorus yet, and that my voice doesn't really work with it.

Shit this is super interesting. So unique. Great production on this. Really cool artwork too
Listening to this again and Cherubim is such a fucking jam
Okay shit when the other guitar/synth/drums kick in on The Art of Getting By, that was a great feeling. Sounds a lot like The Cure as far as the instrumentals go which is great
Fantastic writing. Great melodies. Great production. Post this everywhere you can. Facebook/tumblr/twitter. Deserves to be heard

Thanks again for that support oliverwoods! Cherubim was one of my favorite songs to record, especially the percussion. Looking forward to hearing your music tomorrow on my day off.
i'm , thank you so so much for the kind words!!! i'm listening to you now and really digging, yr voice is nice and fits the songwriting well! aside from the ways you mentioned, what are some other ways of self-promoting w/o seeming like a dickweed?
Idk man. Facebook should get you at least 50+ downloads and then from there you gotta play shows I guess. You can sell CDs for a couple bucks / give out business card's with your bandcamp url after you play and that'll get your name out. Don't feel like a dickweed though for promoting your stuff though, its good music. Don't feel like you have to be validated
Play shows, network, and contact as many blogs who will cover you as possible
>blogs who will cover you
what are some good blogs for this/places to search for?
all i've found is this puerto rico indie blog and they said they'd listen to my project a month ago but never told me anything
I really have no clue, though I'm sure they're out there. Mostly for me, I just stuck with Christian blogs and such.
I know you said there isn't much of an ambient scene where you are but I encourage you to go for it anyways. You could be a pioneer! Also you mentioned your work right now would translate well into a live setting because it's mostly done from computer but I hope you start making music that can be replicated using instruments and loopers.
>I hope you start making music that can be replicated using instruments and loopers.
the stuff that'll be on my new album i can perform by myself once I get some loopers and find a drummer so i could start doing live shows in the future
>You could be a pioneer!
that would be so cool
i know theres one sorta industrial/ambient artist from here but that's about it. i've found a few facebook groups full of local talents so i'm gonna try and make some contacts and see where that goes.
Amazing plans man. I really do wish you the best because with dedication and quality music, Yamir will become a force to be reckoned with.
