Sonemic is a highly marketable name, certainly more than rateyourmusic. It's short and simple, not 3 words long and not narcissistic-sounding. Last.fk has gotten way more users in the past year despite their shitty user interface change, and so I doubt old people leaving RYM will have any dent on the amount on new users coming in.
