I'm so fucking sick of Google Play Music! Is there anything better, like foobar2000 for Android or something? What would you recommend? Thank you very much in advance.

Foobar2000 for android

Why don't you like it?

genuinely curious, what's wrong with this? its not anything id write home about but its not horrid

the fucking gaps between each track REEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Black player, easily the most stable regardless of the size of your library and it's tag editor is top notch

It doesn't display embedded album artwork.

Poweramp
Literally the best music player
>displays kbps
>sorts all of your albums anyway you want
>finds album cover for you or you can use your own
>can customize theme for app
There's a shit load of other stuff you can do, but it's definitely the best one

This 100%

I'm using VLC Player on my phone. It has gapless playback and seems to scrobble with the Last.fm app
>not listening to music at x0.5 speed

Here's some screenshots of poweramp

Downloaded this theme cuz didn't like the default one. Looks simplistic and cleaner with this theme imo

Here's the settings menu
Tons of customization for personal preference

it does for me like half the time

This is it for me.

The user uptop got it right, just use poweramp :/

It's not free.

Poweramp lets you scrobble too

Blackplayer

What're your thoughts on MusixMatch Sup Forums?

Lyrics fuck up too much imo, it's like a Google play clone outside that

Loved it at first, but there's a bug that won't let music on an sd card sync correctly, so you can't make changes to info tags or album covers without them reverting back :/

Other than that it's pretty solid, but I deleted it cuz of that and it didn't also doesn't have as many options like poweramp

Whew I fucked up that last sentence

>doesn't have as many

Phonogram

I use shuttle desu

This is what I use right now.
Quick question for all the poweramp users. Can you edit tags in the player? And also how well does the app handle large music libraries? Phonograph crashes in me a lot and it's bugging the crap out of me.

You can edit tags, but not several tracks at a time

Has anybody here used both spotify and GPM? Currently on GPM and I like the fact that you can upload your own music but I miss spotify's playlists

Shuttle

this

im forced to use google play music because all my music is uploaded there. I wish I could use another player that syncs with gpm but there is literally no other options

this.

OP here. Checked out all of the recommendations, now I'm deciding between Blackplayer and foobar2000. I like the idea of foobar2000 on my phone, because that was my favourite player when I was still on Windows, but it has some weird glitches with loading embedded album art - sometimes it just won't load until you restart the app. Blackplayer has no issues with album art, but I find the navigation somewhat frustrating.

foobar2000 is currently in a very basic alpha state, so don't expect too much yet.
Get poweramp and playerpro from aptoide or something if you don't want to pay for it.

Phonograph is the most aesthetic of all of them

black player
u could also try the poweramp beta, check their forums

Spotify senpai

Try clearing your data for Google Play Music and reopening the app

The tag editor is superb imo and has hundreds of genres to choose from as well as letting you add your own. As for huge libraries, I have around 900 songs on my phone (probably not that big) but the app hasn't crashed on me once. I highly highly recommend it

Welp, there you have it OP. Just cough up the $4 and do it...or atleast download the trial version for free
