Call me a newfag but what's the deal with this album? I see it posted all the time but the opinion seems to be split between people who like it and people who think its horrible because its country. Which is it?
It looks pretty shitty to me but I don't like to judge things based on cover.
Tell me the truth about this record. Is it good or a joke? Huh. I don't want to listen to find out because I don't want to be the victim of some stupid but seemingly obvious joke.
Nathan Fisher
The most self-aware and intellectual country album ever made. Post-country masterpiece, don't believe the haters.
Caleb Nguyen
it's legitimately good country that differs from typical radio-country by having influences from synthpop to even prog rock. check it out.
Jace Hill
this one of the best album of this decade
Jeremiah Russell
Can country even be intellectual? Where's the audience for that? I'm starting to believe you more and more. That sounds really cool but the cover just makes me suspicious. Guess I'll listen to it and find out.
Isaiah Foster
It's a meme you dip
Zachary Smith
>Old Boots, New Dirt
B R A V O R A V O
Jacob Hall
Country itself is fucking great. This guy...isn't....His sparkly fuckin jeans are shinier than my fucking mirror. Personally, I think he's got some fruit in his fuckin basket. If you want good country, try jamey johnson, chris stapleton, john anderson, etc.
Henry Russell
This sounds like Foo Fighters you faggots. God damn it. And I see you memers in the comments. youtube.com/watch?v=EFBlB-jwf5Q
>used to like Jason aldean until he cheated on his wife and I realized he is as fake as everyone else in the world
Evan Bennett
this desu
Easton Rivera
This. It's the worst kind of meme. The kind you have to force regularly because nobody else would care if they ever saw it again.
Oliver Gomez
>it's bad
Carson Young
There's this trip/attentionwhore Aaron who memed it to death by comparing it to "Long Season" by Fishmans. They're not similar in the slightest, but he kept forcing it (and like any meme if forced hard enough) it stuck.
Adrian Diaz
fuck aaron and fuck montie
Adrian Davis
it's a pretty damn good country album, but when whoever it was posted about it, the anti-country bias of this board took over, and like 2 or 3 dudes started accusing the guy of trying to make a meme
now it's a meme to call it a meme
kinda meta, but that's what happened
Hunter Butler
bro country is like the dumpster of modern music
Lucas Thompson
the joke is that we joke about it being bad so much that we can't have a serious discussion about it
Lucas Gutierrez
8/10 album that a part of Sup Forums hates because another part of Sup Forums memes the shit outta it.
Andrew Miller
It's decent for what it is, modern country. I like If My Truck Could Talk the best, its probably the most ''out there'' experimental song on the whole record.
Christian Edwards
>My Truck Could Talk
Oliver Powell
this record would be 10/10 if it had a song in which the truck actually talked
Ethan Butler
Pretty much what he said, the joke is that yeah it's a random mediocre country album, but it's reached a new level of shitposting. People really go out of their way pretending it's good and trying to trick people into listening to it. To the uninformed, it's a little unclear whether or not it's memery.
But it is. That's why it became a meme, because of its next-level shitposting.
Eli Green
Its simply the best post-country album ever made.
Gabriel Green
Dirt Road Anthem is my fuckin jam. Everything else is pretty awful. Seems like dirt road anthem is country for people that dont like country, at least thats the reaction I get from everyone I know that likes the song.
Christopher Brooks
you haven't even listened to it newfag stfu
James Myers
this is correct except it's the exact opposite
calling this album a shitty meme has gotten so out of control that people make up elaborate new scenarios every time the album is posted
It's noise country with elements of post-punk and depressive black metal.
It's crazy to think how he blended all these weird genres together and still managed to make a solid record.
Way to go, Jason.
Connor Lopez
>Someone took the time to make this
Fucking hell. Like. Thats more effort then I have ever put into baiting, like that takes effort holy shit I am impressed.
Luis Martinez
I saw him 2 weeks ago and every song of his sounds the same. He's literally a discount Luke Bryan (not to say that Luke Bryan is good, but he's way better than Jason Aldean).
Brandon Diaz
>That Throbbing Gristle reunion
I've listened to Relentless at least three times, and there's no Throbbing Gristle.
You people really do go all out trying to turn this into a joke.
Christopher Wilson
Your whole existence is bait you britbong twink Oasis fucksucking assdong
Nicholas Flores

Jordan Nelson

>I will always be here
James Morgan
its kind of one of those unintentionally genius albums. i think he meant for it to be a pop hit but examined closely it becomes so much more than that. it shows the deepest emotions of a man torn between authenticity and image. the southern white mans struggle to be "masculine," to be "american," to be "proud" but you hear the quaver in his voice the uneasiness of this projected face of masculinity and patriotism--- and literally everything, the money, the fans, the stardom are all telling him this false face is what matters and that love is only achieved through playing a role. its really dark unique look at the true face of a pop country star, something that is so often shrouded in veils of insincerity.
