nice shane

fucking socialists...

thanc

...

Me and my friends had a Shane-themed festival camp back when we were young and cute. We made some nice Shane t-shirts.

I would wear shane macgowan's face on a tshirt actually, it'd freak out the business students

Yo /daily/. Today starts exam, music for this feel?

I have to interrupt my stressful work just so I can make the obligatory "for da goyz" post. Embarrassing /daily/.

Soul's True Love, as per usual.

Brian Eno - Discreet Music
Michael Nyman - Decay Music

But I want to take my time with that! You would not be happy if I just rushed through it without giving it the porper attention, would you?

That is definitely music. It even says so in the title. Thanks, boss.

Faust - Faust
That was fucking great... so bewilderingly weird
The first track is an extraordinary deconstruction of rock... it's a perversion of the western scale and it somehow sounds good
Also the panning exchanges of words is great
this thing is great, yall know that

Can - Future Days
This is what I want, this is all of the things that I want, absolutely fantastic

Joni Mitchell - Blue
Maybe it's because I just listened to two really fucking good albums, but this didn't really impress me that much
granted, it's vastly different from both
liked the tracks were she played the guitar more than when she was playing the piano

what next?

yo

sah

Songs of Lenny McCohen

Aphex Twin or Tribe Called Quest. Enough with all that guitar music.

ayy

Rec me a good gym album, will report back with results later

Are You Experienced?

Pet Shop Boys - Introspective

>Platinum
A big compiliation for those who missed the past 20 years.

>Platinum 2
Pretty much the same thing except for some reasons it was only released for the indonesian market. Why only there I have no idea.

>Places
Despite a couple standout tracks (Sprinter, Daridari-Dahlidali) this is pretty stale, hough never completely unpleasant.
54 down, 9 to go.

thanks, ily

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Your Funeral... My Trial (Mum's chart)

A very very consistent album with a lot to offer.
5-
Downward Spiral next?

forgot to fill in name field
>inb4 implying thats a bad thing

This
Stereolab - Transient Random-Noise Bursts with announcements

He....he isn't jewish....

He isn't a socialist revolutionary either.

it is the current year though

I believe it is a quote from Howl

very clever

Hello comet if u read this ur gay haha

I mean my rec for your tourney is Max Roach - We Insist!

Please respond :{|}

Thanks for giving me yet another reason to be a commie qB^)

is it?
where's the evidence that it's the current year?

Probably not. What's more important Keiji would come to you in your sleep and throw you in a black hole.

I don't know what I expected from someone who sits around in a garbage can listening to Snuff Jazz all day honestly. Yamir's thing is two shite tracks, one C93 I suppose, the other a Jandek judging by the tags and two memes in reference to something I don't know or care about so they fell flat.
Herb did ok. Got me some nice stuff, female vocalist stuff. I'm not a fan of tracks three and four and the Chris Connor song feels a bit out of place, the rest is fine.

My mixtape is almost done, on the way etc. etc. be there soon!

Yes okay but can I enter too?

I can hardly contain my excitement.

...

Yes.

Whats your guy's AotYSF?

blackstar duh

really dig the King Gizz album, going to see them on the 1st of July
I also liked Boris With Merzbow and Deakin, going to listen to Glowing Man tonight because it apparently leaked...

ive heard interstate 8 but not the rest

i hope shipping costs wont stop me from buyin

"haha"

it was for sdc so i decided not to. shouldve sneaked in a clip tho

Hi newfriend.

Down South Hustlers: Bouncin' and Swingin'
Jesus Christ what an amazing compilation. Thank you to whoever recommended me this record! It's really consistent. Of course, there are a few questionable songs (it gets a little weaker towards the end), but the absolute bangers that compose the majority of songs on this records really compensate for them. One thing that I dislike about this type of music is the singing that can sometimes be horrible. Thankfully this compilation doesn't have that much of it, but it can still be heard a few times.

I'm still open to suggestions. The theme is more or less underrated, unheard 90s hiphop.

...

I guess in this order too.

oh fuck I forgot Sainkho Namtchylak

>Torts Presents: Percussion: Sweet & Sour

Can I make one? This sounds fun
It's a Trip circlejerk but you are in the middle. Be prepared
Would you Mind if i download these images? I like them a lot
>Mfw you passed with a +
Jesus man fuck you

sure, spread the legacy

>Can I make one?
Sure you can.

Are any of you going to any festivals this summer?
My old band is playing our last show at this local punk festival this weekend. I don't really know a lot of the bands playing, but the festival is always a blast, looking forward to it.

>Pet Shop Boys - Introspective
This was pretty sweet, which wasn't really surprising seeing as I've liked whatever Pet Shop Boys I'd heard before. The DJ mix format generally works well and the individual tracks are solid synthpop. Though the runtimes of these tracks are pretty intimidating (at least for a pop album) but there's enough variety to keep every song fresh until the end. Shit's also hooky as fuck which I'm a giant sucker for.
My main gripes with this record are the shitty, unexpressive spoken word vocals that pop up twice on this record (pretty prominently too on the opener) and some of the straight house sections, which sometimes sound too dated to hold up well in 2016. Really liked it as a whole though.

>The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced
Most of the Hendrix stuff I'm experienced (hurr durr) with is great, but this was a major letdown. When Jimi goes into fever mode and lets his guitar roar freely he can be godlike, but most of this album's just rather uneventful blues rock with the occasional tasty guitar lick. Big fat 'meh' desu (to be honest).

Does it have to good?

that poster looks dreadful in all the right ways

No.

no, it's illegal, you wouldn't download a car

I mean yeah, it looks just how a punk poster is supposed to look.
Glad you liked Introspective. Pet Shop Boys is good for pumping the iron, right?

yeah, it's just the right balance of hypnotic and energetic. plus points for cheesy 80s drums

We can all agree that this is the greatest album of all time, right?

it has to be Next Thing by Frankie Cosmos
comfiest album of the year desu, and comfyness is the best feeling ever

Just checked, oneothe hasn't posted since Thursday. Maybe there's no wifi in the field where they put his shallow grave? Anyway, if oneothe Ctrl+F's his name --> i need a rec from you, buddy

and from you, buddy

I read the book during the night and it was very insightful. The record does get better after getting a hold of the concepts McLuhan is portraying, but still I don't feel like ever wanting to relisten to it again.

no

what i literally posted it

(not true by the way)

Lyklas Ocre is still my EP OF the year but at the moment I'm AOTY hunting. One of my favorite times in /daily/ is December because we've had plenty of time to decide which album we really think is AOTY and I get to listen to them all (except Jessica Pratt for some reason)

Your old band? Why aren't they your current band?

We haven't played in a year because our guitarist got a headache, and in that time we decided to end the band. We started practicing again a month or so ago so we could play this one last show and end the whole thing in a proper fashion.

Can't say I've ever heard a band dissolve over a headache but you did what you had to. It's cool you gave it a proper burial too.

...

>character is about to do cringy thing
>stop the movie and walk around the room till i calm myself

i meant concussion, not a headache haha (though he sure did quite a headache from that concussion)
but it didn't dissolve because of that, me and the guitarist had been talking about ending the band for a while at that point.

>We haven't played in a year because our guitarist got a headache, and in that time we decided to end the band

What the fuck are you talking about you deranged twat? How long did that fucking headache last? You are so dumb. It hurts to even read what you have to say about your stupid band. It couldn't possibly be less interesting.

If I hear somebody in a movie blow a raspberry I really do cringe. Something about that sound makes it ring in my head for a minute or so after it was already done.

i know that all too well
at times it makes it very difficult for me to watch stuff like curb your enthusiasm

hi what did i miss

My body is ready. Thanks so much!

Btw, I wonder if Thomas has that open mic eagle as his AOTY. I remember him saying he really liked his music.

Termi?

I honestly didn't feel much for the new record; it's aight though. I've been doing a pretty shit job at keeping up with 2016 in general, but I guess Xiu Xiu Plays the Music of Twin Peaks is my favorite 2016 release so far.

I need help guys: I need the most fucking underground music I can find. I'm talking like, a track uploaded in 1990 to a russian usenet group as a string of bytes forming a midi file, or something. Can anyone help?

Dead - Musical Abortions
Super rare mixtape my dude
