ITT: God-tier electronic albums

Illmatic is a hip-hop album

thats still electronic

Nice, but you're missing Edison's 1800 cylinder recordings

reply to this post tonight or you mother will die tonight

Untrue is a dubstep album

Nice try

Ambient Works is a techno album
Stockhausen is Musique Concrète
Untrue is dubstep

What was your point again?

My point was that Nas - Illmatic

is a hip-hop album

created by a hip-hop artist

hip-hop fall under the electronic umbrella, are you daft?

Which is made with electronic instruments.

They all have their own genre labels.

What was your point again?

Obligatory

...

>when you make a thread entirely to try and prove a point

The human voice is not electronic

Idiots

This has to be bait lol

My favorite electronic album ^~^

Illimatic isn't vocal only either.

Idiot.

>le bait kek

>>>>>reddit you fucking idiot

It's the main focus unlike the other albums in OP's pic
So kys

dude same uwu

>It's the main focus unlike the other albums in OP's pic

Objectively false.

...

is vocal house not electronic music anymore? is disco not electronic? you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

I can almost smell the samefag

...

> I have no argument

>he actually thinks hip-hop = electronic

kek

who the h*ll are you quoting

>he tries to deny objective facts

lmao

>electronic
Not a genre

...

Faggots everywhere.

>music
>objective

THE KEK

No one said it was.

Its an umbrella for a production method, like string music, brass music or vegetable music.

shit chart

get out /bleep/ you disgust me

bait

It's electronically produced using electronic instruments. Do you know what a sampler is? Do you know what turntablism is? It's certainly not string music.

Name 5 electronic albums you like this instant.

...

>poseurcore
>niggacore

What are you doing lol

>oasis

some acoustic guitars have pickups
they are now electronic because you have to amplify that with electronics

Taylor Swift - 1989
Grimes - Art Angels
Eminem - Marshall Mathers LP
Ben Ufo - Fabric
Shackleton - 3 EPs

kek

Autechre - Elseq 1-5
Aphex Twin - SAW I & II
Arca - Mutant
OPN - R Plus Seven
Ferraro - FSV

The amplifier is not the instrument.

Electronic instruments have plugs, guitars don't have plugs.

the list could go on...

>mvq this is better than

what is your definition of a plug?

it could actually

only shackleton and ben ufo were good on the former

>

Ben a shit

thats not even /bleep/.

>Ben a shit
no

it's the kind of chart a /bleep/ faggot would make

No its not, its everything against what /bleep/ does.

Its blatantly an embarrassing Sup Forumstants work.

I can't get into the "shitcore" because the anime girl samples bother me a little. Any albums that would ease me in?

No this is what a cancerous user of /bleep/ would make for the rest of Sup Forumstants who "don't get it"

Theres not a single /bleep/ related release on the whole chart.

...

that's my point

I don't think you're very familiar with /bleep/

HEY BOY

pretty sure there are vocals in all of those albums

see

HEY GIRL

see

kid a is a good shout (obviously)
surprised nobody's said entroducing..... - dj shadow

You're confusing music qualities which are measurable objectively and music taste, that latter being the subjective one but then you've proven your stupidity multiple times in this thread so no surprise you don't understand.

>nas
>electronic

good bait I'm actually a bit rustled

>music
>objective qualities = subjective opinions

Ah so you're underage

lol u scorched him

thx gg

here's your (you)

>Nas
>Electronic
AYO HOL UP,
SO U BE SAYIN

Supreme taste

Replace SAW with Klaus Schulze's Irrlicht.

Replace Untrue with umm...see, now this is where the problem comes with just saying god tier electronic albums. Some of the best stuff in electronic music isn't released as an album. Hell we are lucky to have a compilation like EM when it comes to Stockhausen because otherwise his works fall outside the album format, too.

Youre an idiot

the true purpose of this thread to challenge the common notion that hiphop as a genre is separate from electronic music. OP is a provocateur extraordinaire

thanks for noticing something pointed out much earlier in the thread

...

...

chest flattener is better

so in other words it was a point worth restating for the people who didn't want to sift through allthatshit.jpg?

The moral of the story is that treating "electronic" like an insular genre populated by DJ's who make instrumental bloops is dumb and fails to account for the fact that plenty of what some would consider entirely separate genres share stylistic roots and are produced generally in the same way. At best "electronic" should be used as a broad umbrella term. Also, you must admit that producers are the reason hip-hop is what it is today, whether they're getting all the credit and glory or not. MCs kind of complicate the whole "who's piece of art is it?" issue, though. Just me thinking out loud

Where can i quality torrent for Selected Ambient Works?

(You)

>Illmatic
>Electronic

Great, great choices my lads.

My pick is still unbelievably underrated so I post it here.

soulseek

(You) do it to yourself, you do

thanks

(You) got me

...

oh

How the fuck do I into /bleep/
I like the tunes posted there, but have no idea where to find them myself

discogs
also, try ishkur's guide to electronic music
it's old, outdated, biased in the comments, occasionally inaccurate, and overall just kind of a piece of shit, but it's a great intro into discerning various dance genres

go to a club
