Itt albums that would be 10/10 if you get rid of one song
Itt albums that would be 10/10 if you get rid of one song
you know what it is
>same old man
>Sweepstakes
What? Taxman? Tomorrow Never Knows? Eleanor Rigby?
Rock n Roll Suicide
>naming the three best songs

>picking worst song on Ziggy Stardust and not picking It Ain't Easy
It Ain't Easy is great.
...
hudson
>age of Adz
>Too much
MAXWELLS SILVER HAMMER
>Nervous Young Inhumans
It is great, but it's the lesser song imo compared to the others.
>Handcuffs
Maybe not a 10/10 but jesus christ that song is jarringly horrible compared to the rest of the album.
...
What, Whammy?
As much as I love the Beatles I feel like nearly every Beatles album has one song you could axe that could make it even better.
Going rubber soul onwards my picks are
>rubber soul
Run for your life
>revolver
Yellow submarine
>Sgt pepper
Actually this one is fine as is
>MMT
Your mother should know
>the white album
Ob la di ob la da
>abbey road
The failed abortion known as Maxwells silver hammer
>let it be
For you blue
Just remove the "GALVANISTIC..." speech and I'd be fine with that track.
Fuckin' Will.
Yea exactly. I actually like the track but the monologue is shit and it wouldn't surprise me if he now feels its a bit indulgent at least.
Your Mother Should Know is actually good though, but the rest I agree with.
>worrst track on Rubber Soul
>not picking "Wait"
>worst track on MMT
>not picking "flying"
>Abbey Road
>not perfect
>Let It Be
>acting as if only one song ruins it
The thing is I even love what he's conveying in that monologue.
The idea that he had fallen in love with a person he made up in his head based off of the little he knew about them. That's incredibly relatable for a lot of people and pretty important within the narrative of the album.
Its just the way he decided to explore this idea was awful.
>Blown a Wish
You guys are not Slowdive, for fuck sake
Didn't know Bob ross did cover art
Are you retarded m8
fitter happier
Pop dummy
That's the best song
>I need a man to love
I also think replacing "Electioneering" with Polyethylene 1 and 2 would make the album better
Agreed
>Shovel
You're both wrong, The Word is objectively the worst song on Rubber Soul
Agreed, i really dislike that "song".
yellow submarine isnt THAT bad
but ya its pretty shite
This one's obvious. Wouldn't be 10/10 but gettin' close
I agree with this.
I think this is the one album where one particular track is universally agreed upon to be the worst track of the album.
which song?
this
I think I see what they were trying to do with that track, but I don't think it worked at all.
Funny considering that the album has a 1 minute intro and a cover of Williams Mix.
Inside Out? Work Work?
the one song about tables and drinking or something? i remember that one being shitty
Pretty sure it's Tonight, if not I'd be extremely surprised.
Yeah, it's Tonight.
The intro is really good though
Tonight
Yep that's the one
It was just all the more painful bc it was so obviously trying to be a radio single and pander to a broader audience, and then the song was also just shit
it's Tonight you plebeienna
this t b h
While we're on the subject, any of ya'll heard Wriggle yet? I quite liked it, though they take their pop sensitivity even further with it
I listened to it once, didn't care for it. I might try again once I'm done with The Glowing Man
I feel you, it took me a few to warm up to it. I'm making myself wait for the release for glowing man, very pumped about it tho
>One of the best songs on the album
It Ain't Easy is the only song not written by Bowie, and it stands out as being the worst.
I liked it but not as much as their first two albums honestly
To Here Knows When is weak too though
came here to post this
Lil Boy and Black Dice are way worse though...
Does 3/4 of a song count?
>The Past is a Grotesque Animal
Don't get me wrong, this is a great song. But it's completely out of place on this album.
Black Dice I can understand but Lil Boy is one of the best tracks
whammy?
How is it out of place? The other songs are dark lyrically, this one just steps it up.
based
black dice is v good
What, how? It's the integral link between his former self and the self he becomes(Georgie Fruit). It's literally what ties that album together as a concept album about the transformation of a man unhappy with his uptight marriage and cookie cutter life to free spirited hedonistic sex symbol
Man Next Door
Kill yourself. I'm mad af.
poledo a shit
>Scatterbrain
i like sweepstakes.
keep cool form a line?
I love black dice. I just can understand why someone might not like it. My 3 least fav on NLDW are pop, stockton, and deep web. But honestly I love the hell out of all of em but stockton
I cannot get behind Lil Boy to save my life... It's hands down one of their weakest tracks in my book. Everything about it just makes me cringe
Agreed 100%
Soul Love
that album is a 10/10 to me already
I don't think I even need to say it
>no track is worse than any other
>no track is out of place
I think you do.
All Blissed Out
I love black dice. I just can understand why someone might not like it. My 3 least fav on NLDW are pop, stockton, and deep web. But honestly I love the hell out of all of em but stockton
I'm in shock. That song's so good dude wtf
Tonight is awful, but I never really enjoy Taking Off, the second it hits the chorus I feel like it sucks all the energy out of the album, I think it would be a lot better right after the intro or later in the album
Also, God Given Tongue from the Japan bonus edition is 11/10
more productive
You probably wouldn't believe me if I said Reckoner, but Reckoner
Sticky Drama
every other track is 10/10
House of Cards*
=.=
Shovel is amazing fucking hell
the title track had me very conflicted
the whitehouse sample was good but it was basically a drum and bass tune
...
you take that back
disagree
Definitely agree
I see where you're going with this and i agree
??????
is this WRONG OPINION general?
It's not a bad track, but I never cared for it as much as the other tracks. The vocals in particular I really didn't feel, like Thom was going Falsetto just to show he can go Falsetto.
That's funny, my number 1 is Stockton
>Is This and Yes
It drags far too long and sounds like something that Stereolab already did better. It's not terrible but every time I listen to it on the album I always feel like I'm impatiently waiting for it to end so the rest of the album can pick up again.
...
>To Here Knows When is weak too though
Fracking Fluid Injection.
