I've got two demos up in preparation for a summer release of my solo material; just looking for some opinions(I mixed these myself and I know I'm no expert, that part will be handled by someone else in the final versions). I'll try to give some feedback when there are more posts in here.

NEW "ALBUM" OUT. IT SUCKS.
>trap influenced beats (first song only)
>all the other stuff is HARCORE GUITAR WANKERY
>also has a The Microphones rip off
this just has to be one of the worst things I've made, if only the (real) new album wouldn't have been deleted you could all have an incredible album
It just feels rushed as fuck, but hey, so does all my other releases. It is also sloppier than last one.
I will start to work on my new album really hard, I promise it will be my best stuff yet.
just made an awesome chocolate cake too, I think there was too much sugar in it though.

good stuff
I like your mixing, It feels unique in some way I can't quite explain! Super nice, keep it up!
That was really comfy! I dig the vocals, and the guitar is nice too! Can't wait to hear your next LP!!
as always, really nice to listen your music! It's just so damn good, I could listen to it on repeat for hours without getting bored.
Keep it up!
I will just never get tired of this, it's so lovely and cute. I love how the cover fits the music perfectly! At first I didn't like it that much, but it has since grown on me
keep it up!!

Hey, thanks for listening! Since I'm not the biggest fan of beat related music I can't really tell you is that good or not. However, I can congratulate you on a very polished production and quite interesting of mixing elements into the tracks which I think is really hard at times!

Hey Sup Forumstants. Apologies for the last message I left about leaving music and this board. Depression had taken a serious toll on me, but being able to process some stuff, I'm now back. I will be getting help soon.

I will in fact be breaking from recording my own solo material. I have a lot on my plate so to speak. I will be collaborating and producing with others, and I'll be trying to do some live shows and open mics for anyone in the Houston area interested, but the idea of solo material will be put off to the side for now.

I also want to help musicians on these threads, so I decided I will attempt to make a bit of a label with my bandcamp page. I'd love to have you guys aboard. Reply to this post if you have an interest in seeing this happen, or if you're a musician who wants some help, reply and I'll gladly give you a listen. Will be getting in contact with more musicians soon.

Thanks,
Jacob Hutto.

Just thought I'd ask if any of these singles are leading to an upcoming album. Also really good so far, can't say I've noticed you before today but I sure am glad I did.

I hope so. I've been working on some stuff for a while but my main band is starting to get some traction so ive been putting this off for a while. Just thought i'd lay a couple singles out so it would make me make some more music.

Any chance we could hear what your current band is putting out? I could see you getting big with this sound, especially if you're planning to include vocals

I'd like to keep the two separate. Vocals have been a problem with me because I know I don't have a great voice and wouldn't want to mess my music up with it but who knows. I may throw a track up with vocals sometime and see how the reception is.

Sounds good beefalo, good luck on your music, but more importantly thanks for putting in the effort to get it out there for us to hear.

Hey there atlas, here

Jacob Hutto and I are actually planning to host a house show sometime this summer. Cool to know you'd be interested in going. A lot of interesting and talented people from these parts

sounds great. i'd love to go. always exciting checking out the local music scene

The converse rubber track sessions will always be my favorite but stitches has such a nice build up. What do you guys have in mind as far as the current state of your band is involved?

we're self recording a bunch of material this summer. probably by september/october we'll have roughly 8-10 tracks finished. we're either going to pare it down to a 5 song EP or do an album. def going in a heavier direction, and if you want any of the partially finished demos shoot me your email

also its really just 2 of us right now doing all the writing and recording, but a good amount of locals have showed interest in getting involved musically so we might start playing out in fall too

> "dream-pop", i really don't know.

Sure thing man, I'll send you an email through BC right now.

As for your band, I'm proud of you guys for going through with it. I really do believe if you work at it persistently you will get noticed. Excited to hear these demos tbhfam

grey skies sounds so warm and melodic, it's really atmospheric. I don't know, it creates this pleasant and exciting mood and feeling, yet at the same time those drums make it feel kind of tense. Wonderful job. Wonderful production, too

hostile, nasty, agressive, cold. Sounds good. I love the synth in the intro to 'Name', lovely, harsh sound

Digging some of the sounds on here, but yeah, it needs mastering. I like 'We Live (Ludus part 2) ', a lot, the bells are great. It all sounds kind of FL-studio-ish, though.

downloaded this recently and been enjoying it a lot your a great songwriter

my only problem is the second half of the dragon on the shore
why did you make it so fucking terrifying
sweet lord it spooks me

trnkts.bandcamp.com

listen if you like deerhunter, modest mouse, do make say think

Haha that's so nice of to say, thank you. I'm honored, seriously.

As far as the dragon on the shore beside the sea goes, it's meant to symbolize revelation 12's story of the Dragon chasing after the woman and her child. Honestly, the fact that you think it's anywhere near terrifying is one of the most satisfying comments I've ever heard about my music since that's exactly the type of feeling I was trying to convey since I can imagine very few situations more terrifying than being hunted down.

Thanks for making my day

so pretty. so much going on. guitar tone and percussion is fucking great. followed. gonna check out the rest of your album tonight.

not really my thing, but it's well recorded and easy to get into. could imagine hearing on the radio.

RECS
just started listening to the new album and it's actually really chill and well-composed so far

this is really good so far- will have to listen to the rest later but super moody and wonderfully arranged

Well the first half symbolizes the woman giving birth to her child. The book of revelation uses a lot of metaphorical imagery so I'm not 100% sure what exactly they symbolize but it's definitely understood to be a good thing and figured it would be a good way to portray that

That's some deep ass shit dude lol. Fucking awesome btw.

Haha glad you think so famalamasham

Neat, I like it. The vocals are the best bit I think. Solid song too. Way more intensity than a lot of garage acts out there. I would say maybe a off the reverb a bit. It makes the track sound like Ty Segal and Thee Oh Sees who already have a million copy cats. And to be honest, the instrumentals sound like very generic garage rock. But anyway, I'm following. Interested to see what else you come up with.
