Post albums from 2016 that you think are under-discussed and/or underrated. I'm tired of the same old shit, and I'm sure a lot of you are too.

Thanks, I'll check this out later. Couldn't even get close to guessing the genre based off the cover haha.

Bump. Maybe more of you like Sup Forumscore than I thought.

nothing special, but it does what it does well

Pilotredsun - Achievement

Someone on Sup Forums said this was their AOTY so I checked it out. I have a lot of fun with this one and listen to it everyday. It's an unpretentious electronic (IDM-esque) album that's NYP on Bandcamp: pilotredsun.bandcamp.com/album/achievement

Tracks 6-8 are my favorites.

I really like Josephine Foster. The Way is Sweetly Mown is a great song but its not online anywhere.

Reccing this.

idk if u heard this one

Anna Högberg Attack - Anna Högberg Attack

Kek, this album is painfully mediocre and if anything is overly praised
This is alright but certainly not underrated/discussed

Interest has been piqued...

Jazz recs! Thanks.

this one is great. came out a few years back tho

If want some more jazz from 2016, check this. But I guess that you have already listened to it.

This is just awesome, thank you! Checking out King of Kings by The Pyramids after this.

>King of Kings by The Pyramids
good alb

AOTY in my opinion

Have you listened to Ritual yet?

great rec, really enjoying it so far. cheers.

nope

It's more along the lines of Enter and Exit since they have the orchestra behind them but it is still great.

Sumac - What One Becomes.

Really liking some parts of this.

you are right, apologies

i like the cover... genre?

Really good, truly underrated

art pop is probably the best way to describe it. a little loungey, a little jazzy, some house influence in there too. it's all around really good

Severely undermentioned ...

Mmmmmm.

I've seen like only one or two other people mention this before

cover reminds me of brian eno. What kind of music is this?

It's quite obviously paying homage to Eno. Haven't listened to the album you're replying to, but I'm pretty sure it's indie or art pop.

legit a perfect record;
runners up:
Chris Weisman - Maya Properties (11 parts, all good)
Ruth Garbus - Joule EP (best EP i've ever heard)
Dirty Projectors - Morning Better Last (back when they were good)

>posts album from 2005

WHOOPS forgot how to read thought this was criminally underrated albums at least I posted good ones....

better one
