Unrelated but can someone post that fucking album where the cover is just the side of some house at night, I want to listen to it and I have no idea what it's called.
you really haven't listened to it yet?
The Postal Service - Give Up
...
Not yet. I've only really gotten into music in the last year or two, haven't branched out that much from hip hop yet. I really enjoyed The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me though, and I want to listen to more emo stuff. Thank you for posting.
Never
It really is judged unfairly.
His early stuff was so great
agreed its real good my man
pun not intended, this really was good
This thing is back loaded with bangers. The weirdest stuff is in the first jalf and then it's all super accessible with the same quirky production. Easily in the running for AOTY.
Far exceeded my expectations
that album makes me feel things when sober but takes me to a different dimension when high
possibly my AOTYSF too
it's like they took all the of best elements of their (frankly mediocre) debut and maximised their potential
crazy how much they improved from one album into the next

I love this album so much, I'm so lazy though I haven't listened to any of their other albums.
And crazy how they followed this up with their shitty s/t record.
Alien Lanes was damn good, no idea how they screwed that one up.
trips confirm what I always knew
Fuck I meant Alien Days, not a gbv album

Every stereolab album ever
Took me a while to get to this album since I was determined to listen to everything else they did (and the 1979-1984 cassette era, while interesting, was a bit of a chore to listen to), but once I got there I realised why it's been spammed on every chart thread for the past all-of-the-years.
I need more albums that sound like pic related and in the court of the crimson king, so good. Completely new to prog rock please don't hurt me.
Have you listened to other Porcupine Tree or Steven Wilson? Eivind Aarset is good too.
...
Not yet, will now. Cheers.

Don't forget to tell your mom..... SATAN!
[Sweet leaf starts playing]
Not kidding.
It's a good album, but also objectively their worst
I was listening to this today. So good. It's like the perfect blend of pop punk, heavier on the punk influence. The only good Green Day album.
>when the beat drops on F.O.D.
It's hard to describe, but there's something very genuine and relatable about the music on this one. Something I don't get from most pop punk or any other green day album really. I know this album is the reason why, but you can tell it was written before they hit it big.
if im not mistaken they really did not expect themselves to really get anywhere when they got signed to Warner Bros, they were super skeptical about the whole thing
Name?
What album is this?
b-but the polyester wattd field
The Dredsen Dolls' fist album. Put it off for years.

just picked this up on vinyl in a charity shop for £2 today
A friend turned me onto this album. Quite impressed.
Really? I feel like Chair was much better, cohesive, and had killer hits. Plus it was just so eerie, esp with the instrumental tracks.
Why do you prefer this one? I couldn't really get into the whole thing.
...
>masterpiece in general
No. Just yours. Not general.
...
I downloaded it from a shatrthread a while back and only just got around to listening to it the other day.
The description called it a female The Smiths and I don't think I was let down at all.
...
seriously
Followed one random reco from an user in here and saved it to listen to it later on. It isn't groundbreaking for sure, but it's one of those albums were I find a happy place.
It's only a shame how repetitive it becomes with a certain chord progression, which I personally really enjoy but when it's used over and over it gets old really fast.
Great pop sensibility.
Nice

I've been listening to it for years and have liked it for years but damn it has been really been blowing me away recently since I took some time off listening to it
