The Strokes are shit and CSH are shit, so maybe.

woah dude I cut myself

You should kill yourself next.

hi will

Clearly a huge influence on the vocals, I genuinely thought it was a Julian Casablancas guest appearance when I first heard Destroyed by Hippie Powers. There are a lot of really obvious influences (Pavement, GBV, The Cars), but it's a really good album.

Will has said that he doesn't really listen to the Strokes but he respects their work.

lmao then why does everything about CSH sound like Strokes imitations

Shared influences like GBV and their voices happen to sound similar

all Will posts

>"Why do two generic indie rock bands sound the same?"

Pretty sure he really likes The Cars and REM. Strokes are overated tumblr indie starbucks core. Low budget early Arctic Monkeys desu

FUCK OFF WILL

The young Strokes had more stabby guitar driven flash while Car Seat Headrest on Teens of Denial has grunge guitars. The vocals are definitely different like Casablancas has sex problems and Toledo is pissed about getting sucked into the coldness of space.

Surf Jerk and I Can Talk With My Eyes Shut are two songs I'd like to hear.

>Sometimes a cigarette is just a good way to die

>I just needed words to sing

He does have a knack for grear lyrics

It's just a shittier, drawn out, fillerfull version of this close to modern classic
